25.01.2022 Just a reminder to all of our members that athletics is still going ahead on Friday nights during the school holidays and tonight will be week 2 on the program. Please also remember when attending to continue following our Covid-safe plan by social distancing, sanitising all equipment after use and signing in and out of each session. Also as you may be aware the NSW State Government has announced changes to sports with the lifting of the 1 parent restriction but still maint...aining min 1.5m social distancing. As a club we still have to abide by our current COVID plan of max 500 people at Onslow at a time. The 1 parent rule for the 5pm time slot, must remain in place otherwise we will be in breach of our COVID plan. 25.01.2022 Christmas Night Bring your Christmas Gear and your Christmas Cheer!! As this Friday the 18th is our last night of competition before we break over the Christmas period we invite all of our members to compete in Christmas colours (number patch still visible). Also, a reminder that this Friday is the LAST available time to hand in Region-State Qualifier Forms (U9-U12). No late entries will be accepted under any circumstances so please be prompt in submitting these forms.

24.01.2022 Weather Update Due to the extreme heat conditions the Tiny Tots session will commence today at 430pm. Should the temperature not fall within the guidelines we will make another decision at 3.45pm. All other sessions will remain the same.

19.01.2022 Athletes in Action Presentation Thank you all so much to our parents who have already sent in photos of their athletes and their age groups! We still need more parents to send in photos and videos of their children competing in the Camden uniform to show our true club colours!! We need all of these photos by THIS FRIDAY at the latest so we can compile all of the photos into a fun Season in Review presentation to sign-off our season and showcase our athletes in action. 19.01.2022 Senior Registrations Registrations are opening tomorrow for our senior/ master athletes. Under 12 - Under 17 Members will also be able to dual register to partake in ANSW competitions.... 19.01.2022 Little Athletics NSW have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 State Relay Championships, scheduled to be held in November. This decision has not been... made lightly, but it is in line with the current NSW Government and NSW Department of Health restrictions regarding COVID-19. Little Athletics NSW believes that centres and members will appreciate the early notice of this cancellation. Little Athletics NSW will continue to provide updates about the impacts of COVID-19 and the 2020/21 season. 19.01.2022 Final Registration Notice If you wish to pick up your registration pack tomorrow night then you MUST register by 10:30pm tonight at the latest. Any registrations which occur after this will not be able to be collected tomorrow. Note that NEW athletes who collect their registration pack tomorrow will NOT have results recorded for the first week of competition. This does not apply to returning athletes. We are also looking for Age Group Supervisors for the following age group...s. Under 6 - Boys and Girls Under 7 - Boys and Girls Under 10 -Boys and Girls Under 14 - Boys and Girls Under 15 - Boys and Girls Under 17 - Girls As a Club we are unable to host competition for these age groups without a supervisor and we appreciate all of our volunteers for their effort. 19.01.2022 Start of Season Prep We are excited to announce that we are holding our 20/21 "Registration Pick Up / Memorabilia Collection Day ( last seasons presentation) !!! These days will occur over the Fridays of the 4th and 11th of September at Onslow Oval Camden.... The structure of these collection nights will be : Tiny Tots - U8 from 5:30pm -6.30pm U9 - U12 from 6.30pm - 7.30pm U13 - U17 from 7:30pm -9.00pm. For those families with children in differing age groups you will only need to attend one time slot. This will commence at 7pm and will decide our Committee for the 2020/2021 season. At the beginning of the meeting all positions will be declared open and positions will be voted on. 18.01.2022 Registrations 2020/2021 Season Welcome to our 2020/2021 season at Camden Athletic Club!!!!! We are ecstatic to finally get the season underway and welcome back our existing members as well as our new athletes and your families. As a Club, we have been working extensively with Camden Council and Little Athletics NSW to prepare for a safe and inclusive season for all. That being said it is advised that our season will be running alternative to normal as we accommodate C...OVID restrictions and follow guidelines set out by authorities. Throughout the lead up to and commencement of the season, we will be providing all the necessary information so that everyone can be updated on current rules and requirements for a safe and fun competition! This season, starting on Friday 18th September we will be running THREE different athlete sessions to cater for a restriction of numbers and stay inside of COVID Guidelines. Our Tiny Tots program will operate from 4pm-4:45pm The U6-U11 Age Groups will be run from 5pm-7:15pm The U12-Masters Age Groups will occur from 7:30pm-10pm We ask that all members of the session LEAVE the grounds at the end of their session period. Further rules surrounding this will be clarified and released in the coming weeks. The cost of registering this season is as follows: Tiny Tots $130 U6 - U17 $140 ALL online registrations for athletes will open from Saturday 15th August 2020 through the LANSW site (www.lansw.com.au). These registrations can ONLY be completed and paid for online. We encourage all of our members to register for the Active Kids voucher through Service NSW which can be used during the registration process. Once you have successfully registered through LANSW you will need to attend a collection day to receive your age and number patch as well as our sponsored Coles patch, used during championship competition. These collection days will occur on Friday the 4th and 11th September. Further information surrounding these days will be released in the coming weeks. We ask that you bring a copy of your LANSW receipt and an original birth certificate for proof of age for the athlete so you can be formally issued your 2020/2021 registration pack. Registration for seniors and masters will occur late during the month of September. We will keep updating this information as it becomes readily available. Uniforms can be purchased through our Camden Athletic Club app, which can be downloaded from Google Play or the App Store. Last but not least our Come and Try night will also be held on Friday 11th September. We ask that any new athletes or people interested in trying out athletics come on down to Onslow Oval on the night to get a taste for athletics and our club atmosphere. The new session times for this week only are as follows: U6-U10: 6pm Start... U11-Seniors: 7:30pm Start The 3km race will be held at the end of the night and we wish to remind all parents that they must leave the track grounds once their session slot has finished.

16.01.2022 Region 7 State Qualifying Event for U9 - U12 age groups will be held on the 6th & 7th February 2021 at Campbelltown Sports Stadium. A participant is only able to enter up to four (4) events, and the qualifying standards for this event are able to be achieved at your centre, another centre or any gala day/meet hosted in a Zone/Region in NSW in the 2020/2021 season. Entry forms for the event will be made available shortly.... You will be notified by January 15th 2021 if you are successful in qualifying to Region event. Qualification to State - 16 places 1st place at each region will be an automatic qualifier with the next best 8 taken over all 8 Regions More information will be provided as it becomes available

14.01.2022 PRESENTATION UPDATE Hello to all of our members, friends and families of Camden Athletic Club. Unfortunately with the evolving COVID-19 health crisis our Annual End of Season Presentation has unfortunately been suspended and indefinitely postponed. It is due to this, that in a time of crisis we aim to provide a welcome distraction from current events and draw our members back to the end of our 2019/2020 season. Please read the below update as to how our presentation will ...be proceeding. Age results will be released in the coming weeks through a virtual presentation format so stay tuned for its release!! In this format parents and members will be able to view the age results as they would at presentation to see; the age group champions, athletes with 100% attendance and the encouragement award for the age. All trophies, certificates and photos are unable to be collected at this time under the current health laws and regulations in place by the government. As the situation evolves and these rules of social gatherings are updated; we too will update you, our members on when and how collection of these items is possible. We hope you are all safe and well during this time, remembering to keep a balanced lifestyle and enjoy some much needed backyard sunshine.

13.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE We wish to inform you all that NSW Health has added Kmart, Narellan Town Centre to the location list to monitor for symptoms if you attended the venue between 6pm-7pm on Friday, 2nd October. Please be reminded if you are displaying symptoms such as a runny nose, cough, sore or scratchy throat, fever, loss of smell or taste, or shortness of breath, please get tested as soon as possible and isolate at home until you get the result.... For those athletes in our U6-U10 session we would also like to remind you all that the one-parent-per-child rule is still in place as per our COVID-Safe plan. 11.01.2022 Trophy Collection With restrictions slowly starting to ease and the world returning to a semi-normal state, we are organising our collection day for all trophies, certificates, merchandise and other items. The current projected date for this is Sunday the 26th July however this is pending council and government approval. As this is not a final date please stay updated for more details...

Uniforms will be available for collection and we would like to inform you that all payments are now cashless and therefore only card payments are accepted. 09.01.2022 COVID Safety Plan To all members, athletes and families. Below is our COVID safety plan for the upcoming season. We strongly encourage all of you to read and familiarise yourselves with this as it is imperative to the operation of the coming season. The rules and guidelines set out in the document will be enforced on a Friday night and will dictate the future season of the club. We thank you for your support.

08.01.2022 Registration Pick Up! Thursday 17th September is our third and FINAL night to collect registration packs and season memorabilia before we begin our first competition on Friday 18th. This event will go from 5pm-6pm at Onslow Oval. ... Please note that for new registrations an original birth certificate or passport must be sighted. To collect a registration pack on Thursday night, you must be registered by 11am at the latest on Thursday. Uniforms will not be available for purchase on the night, however will be available on Friday night before competition. Hope to see you all there!!

08.01.2022 Little Athletics NSW would like to provide our Centres and Members with an update in relation to Championship (Zone/Region/State) events for the 2020/2021 seaso...n. The Covid-19 Pandemic will have an impact on how we deliver our championship events this season. The board is committed to delivering quality events that keep our members safe. The staff and championships committee have been considering a number of options to achieve this. Whilst we currently do not have the final details we would like to share some of the details with you all: The traditional Zone and Region Championships will not take place this season. A number of State Qualifying meets will be held in the early part of 2021, most likely February. A State Championship Event will be held in March. The full details of the above will be announced in the coming weeks.

08.01.2022 Last training session this year for High Jump will be held at 9am on Sunday at Onslow Oval. Training will then return on Sunday 10th January 2021.

08.01.2022 Important Session Changes We wish to inform all of our members of new changes to our current session running times and organisation: U11-Masters Session will now begin at 7:00pm each Friday effective from 23/10.... Our 200m hurdles + 300m hurdles races have now been moved to 6:30pm each ‘Week 1’. It is expected that if your child is competing in this event that parents assist to set up and pack up the hurdles. The 3km event has now been moved to 6:30pm each ‘Week 2’. We thank you all for your cooperation with these changes.

08.01.2022 Presentation Update With the new regulations as of 9am this morning, non-essential indoor gatherings of over 100 people are banned. Due to this new regulation as well as the increasing COVID-19 pandemic the Committee has made the decision to CANCEL the End of Season Presentation on the 4th April. We have no further information to report at this time, however alternative presentation methods will be created and advertised in the coming days. This morning we are excited to announce that Athletics Australia has posted their Return to Athletics Guidelines. These different guidelines provide clarity on the structured return all clubs, coaches and athletes are required to follow as the 2020/21 season approaches. Please see the link below for the guides.

05.01.2022 Due to the sudden extreme weather conditions, we have had to cancel the 5.00pm to 7.15pm session. A decision will be made at 6pm pertaining to our 7:30-10pm session and whether it will be going ahead or not.

05.01.2022 Athletics Winter Season Athletics NSW winter season including Cross Country and Road Walks has now been relaunched. Registrations for their first event, XC Short Course in Dapto on the 19th July will close on the 15th July. Those in age groups from U11 and above are able to enter.... For those athletes who would like to compete in the XC Relays representing Camden, please contact the club to register interest so that teams can be created.

04.01.2022 Update Moving Forward Presentation We hope you all enjoyed watching our presentation!! A big thanks goes out to the Presentation Committee for all of their hard work over the past few weeks organising trophies and working around the current restrictions to bring a top quality presentation to you all.... Collection of Trophies As previously stated collection of trophies, certificates and photos is unable to occur due to the current health restrictions in place by the government. As the situation evolves and the restrictions are eventually scaled back we will keep all of our members informed as to when and how these items are to be collected. AGM Our AGM has unfortunately been postponed for now under the current guidelines. We will be releasing more information in the coming weeks under the guidance of Little Athletics NSW about how this will be occurring with the current restrictions.

Volunteer Week On behalf of all of our members, we would like to congratulate and thank our volunteers for their hard work and effort over the past season. From our age group supervisors on a Friday night; to the parents who help out durin...g weekend carnivals, we would like to offer our immense gratitude for the countless hours given up to help make Camden Athletic Club what it is today. A special thanks must go out to all of our Committee persons who give up so much time both on a Friday night and during the week to make everything run and operate. 02.01.2022 Athletes in Action Photos Over the past season we are aware that many people in and around our club have been taking photos of our athletes competing both on a Friday night and at various competitions they have partaken in. From this we have gathered a small library of photos that showcase the talent of our athletes practising and competing in their craft. But we need MORE!!! We are urging any parents, family members or athletes themselves to send through as many... photos of you competing the past season. Once we have collected all of these they will be collated into a fun Season in Review presentation to sign-off our season and showcase our athletes in action. Please send all photos/ videos to [email protected] with the subject of the email being "Photos". We hope to see photos from as many of you as possible!!

01.01.2022 Weather Update We are currently watching the weather forecast and radar, if there are any changes to tonight's competition, we will notify as soon as possible.

01.01.2022 Season Update As we are sure all of our members are now aware, our current season is going to be operating out of its normal routine. As a committee, we are working diligently to create a safe and practical season for all of our athletes which will follow all of the established rules and guidelines. For the coming season, our online registrations will open on the 15th August!! We encourage you all to visit the website www.lansw.com.au and register your children for what wil...l be another fantastic season at Camden Athletic Club. We would also like to take this opportunity to reinforce the importance of staying updated on all information relating to the season and all athletics updates. Please check our club Facebook page regularly as all relevant information pertaining to the coming season will be released as soon as it is available.
