If you have found this to be triggering or distressing, remember that we have some awesome local services who you can reach out to for a chat and support. Check out headspace Campbelltown and the Kids Helpline Kids Helpline Official 1800 55 1800 who work with children, teens, and young adults. Stay safe and look out for each other!

04.01.2022 Meet our four Finalists dedicated to Aboriginal Education: Brenton Hawken, 25 of Temora is a well-respected, intelligent and highly regarded educator who is c...ommitted to achieving quality educational outcomes for all of his students. His deep commitment and strong advocacy for public education makes him a valuable asset to the teaching profession and those who work alongside him. Jasper Garay, 25 of Forest Lodge has degrees in Sociology, Public health, and Interaction Design, his work integrates technology innovation, culture, and wellbeing to guide reforms of complex SEWB problems for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people. Sharnie Bartle, 28 of Harrington Park completed her High School Certificate in 2010, in 2011 she completed a traineeship in child care and obtained her Certificate III in Children’s Services. After 4 years of being a stay-at-home parent, Sharnie began studying again to become a School Learning Support Officer, which then lead to a temporary then permanent position as an Aboriginal Education Officer at Campbellfield PS. Allirra Moore, 18 of Bensville keeps connected to country by painting. She also helps other Koori kids maintain that connection through art so they can follow their ancestors and teach future generations.
