25.01.2022 [1/3] This time last year, one of the loveliest people on this planet Nicky went through an amazing re-brand for her Girls Getaway business, transforming it into Venus Getaways. Nicky is one of my OG customers, from BAAACK in the early days of Cameron Solutions. Each project she entrusts me with brings a smile to my face of how her business, mine and even technology in building websites has evolved since those early days.



25.01.2022 GRAPHIC DESIGN Work can be fun if you love it... and I love every design project with Lush Platters. Coming up with a design for their new bagel table menus and labels is SUPER fun.

25.01.2022 { PACKAGING } Labels for @lushplatters new Lunch Boxes for One . The concept behind the label was to be customisable depending on the lunch box contents, so it was designed with a checklist. The design continued with the brands clean design and branding with a simple white background and featuring the "Lush green" with logo and clear large typography. The simple pre-dominantly white label colours against the natural; kraft boxes let the colours of the boxes contents pop. Do yourself a favour if you live in Singapore, give them a try, everything owner Wynona creates is deliciousness in a box.

25.01.2022 {TIPS & TRICKS} Are you a Shopify store owner? In April 2020, Shopify enabled Gift Cards to all Shopify plans including the basic for a limited time due to COVID, encouraging stores to promote gift cards as a means to continue receiving revenue whilst their store may be experiencing a downfall in sales. Whilst this was a huge advantage cost-wise to storeowners as the plans including Gift Cards normally started at US$79 per month, the Gift Card design and customisation options... leave a little bit to be desired. 24.01.2022 When your customers have such beautiful photography, creating postcards is the easy job... (can also make you very hungry working late while looking at all the photos of cheese and platters... just sayin)

24.01.2022 { WEBSITE } In March 2020, @littlehouseofdreams found themselves quickly needing to re-develop their longstanding website to allow customers to be able to order from their entire menu during the lockdowns of COVID-19. With a few late nights (technically early mornings), the website was ready to go live in record time a few days ahead of schedule, allowing their business to pivot their entire menu to be easily ordered online for either pick-up or delivery without customer...s needing to step foot inside the cafe. With their delicious photography being the focus, the design of the website was kept clean with predominately white and simple contrasting colours inline with the "Little House of Dreams pink". @littlehouseofdreams || 2/3 See more

23.01.2022 With a clean-out of ye ole insta-feed, there's not much to look at on previous work is there?. So who are "we"? "We" is a she. Me. Lisa. Hi, nice to meet 'ya. Since 2004 I have been sitting in front of a screen developing websites, creating graphics, designing branding, writing newsletters, managing social media and helping my clients located in Australia and overseas in an endless list of ways from a range of industries including retail, food & hospitality.... After falling into the website design business while on maternity leave with our first child when helping out a friend, the business grew by word of mouth to the point I never returned to my job. Two more kids later and that little side-hustle has grown into a business I am proud to have built. That's me.. in a nutshell.

23.01.2022 The irony of your own Social Media Tip #1 being "posting consistently", yet you are way to busy to keep your own social media accounts up to date. Sometimes running your own business and helping your increasing customer base to grow theirs that it takes a side.. but thats a good thing, and anytime is a great time to get back into posting.

22.01.2022 School holidays arent slowing the rollout of new websites this week!. A well-deserved facelift completed for www.gbmarina.com.au, one of the very first websites we worked on back in the early days (eeek so that makes the "old" site over a decade old... definitely due for a new look). Built on a Wordpress platform with customisation, the site showcases beautiful photography taken around the marina and provides potential and existing customers all the relevant marina information.

18.01.2022 No fancy pants new logo needed - nope, these guys contacted us as they HAD a logo but no digital version. Using the existing logo from photos etc, we matched up the fonts and colours and completely re-drew the logo, saved and now all ready for their uniforms (and anywhere else).

17.01.2022 Electronic Direct Mail. Don't think that to use EDMs you have to put together a BIG newsletter with a heap of content. Use your EDMs for a quick product announcement, a shout-out for a new service you are offering, holiday announcements... really ANYTHING regarding your business or industry. Our tip? Build a template, then fill it with your content, a consistent base template helps build your brand identity.... What can we do? Well we can just build you a template and hand it over for you to run with, or we can help send out all your EDMs so you don't need to worry... just like this week's EDM we did for Little House of Dreams to promote their Halloween Petite Cakes (cute!)

16.01.2022 { WEBSITE } The new home of SimplyChampagne, built on Wordpress keeping the proposed future online store in mind, the site was designed to showcase the stunning imagery from SimplyChampagnes champagne growers. Building on the base Wordpress install, the functionality was extended to include an Event plugin to promote and sell tickets to Champagne Masterclasses. @simply.champagne || 3/3

Don't take the easy and quick option by boosting a post, spend the time and get the return on your money by creating an Ad targeted to the right audience, in the right placements for your business and aimed at clicks and conversions getting potential customers to your site. 13.01.2022 { LOGO } Logo for @simply.champagne . The process in creating a logo from the starting drafts to the final product is like a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. Starts rough, and ends finessed. Little details included reflecting the brands mission - gold and bubbles representing the Champagne that @simply.champagne independently and expertly selects and imports into Singapore || More on their branding to come.

13.01.2022 {GRAPHIC DESIGN} After a long time baking STUNNING cakes for customers in Singapore, @jotakesthecake took the plunge to contact us to work on some gift cards as part of a new focus on branding for her growing business. Picking which cake images to use was HARD cause they are all good, but very happy with the final design and they are already printed and making their way out with orders. More secret squirrel projects in the works for Jo... keep an eye out.

12.01.2022 { BRANDING } Branding for @simply.champagne . Our last post showed the logo for SimplyChampagne and part of designing their logo was developing a branding guide. The branding guide is like a roadmap to layout how the brand is represented across both digitally and in print with co-ordinating colours, typography and alternative logo options. || More on SimplyChampanes branding to come. A brand guide doesnt just need to be for new brands, it can also be developed for existing brands to reign in all the options out there and create our favourite word ... "cohesiveness"

12.01.2022 These school holidays + work load fuelled by caffeine in both tea and coffee forms Today, the kids headed to the movies to see Small Foot with their Dad so I could focus on some work for a few hours. I knocked off a few items on the to do list, which feels SO good when you do, right? I am so fortunate to have a supportive family. My kids know sometimes, Mum needs to hide in a corner to get some work done and Hubby often cooks dinner and washes the clothes, its a team effort around here to get things done!

10.01.2022 {TIPS & TRICKS} Sharing one of my favourite plugins for WooCommerce that I am now installing on every new build. A simple plugin but oh so needed during testing and also for problem-solving. "Email Log" does just what it sounds like - creates a log with a copy of every automatic email your WooCommer shop sends out. 10.01.2022 { WEBSITE } The development of Little House of Dreams new website came with a number of functionality requirements, way outside the scope of a normal WooCommerce install. Along with some free and premium plugins, a number of functions were added using coding, allowing the platform to function above and beyond what the platform considers standard. Functions added to the site included; ... - item-based pickup and delivery options at checkout - syncing order information with the kitchens calendars - global containers allowing a single edit of important information that then updates in multiple products and sections site-wide - message displaying based on category - allowing free shipping on selected categories only A bit of thinking "out of the box", some developing of code and WooCommerce in particular really is quite flexible and often selected over platforms such as Shopify. (Check out the Tips & Tricks blog post at cameronsolutions.com.au "Top 5 Reasons Shopify vs Woocommerce" for more comparisons) Adding functions like the above and more allows clients like @littlehouseofdreams to simplify and improve their processes. 08.01.2022 Travelling as a family of five is RIDICULOUSLY expensive, right? We caught the travelling bug after our 2015 trip to Disneyland, have you been? our HAPPIEST place on earth, followed closely by our 2017 trip to Disneyworld. Yep we are a fully fledged Disney-mad-family... too bad we live on the other side of the world. Debates are on where we should go next, Mum votes Hawaii, everyone else votes Disneyland or Disneyworld again, but for now, its just another Disney movie-thon and dreaming about holidays.
