The area is now a declared hotspot, meaning people travelling from there to Queensland are required to enter hotel quarantine at their own expense. We're also reintroducing the border declaration pass for those driving into Queensland. This will come into effect from 1am tomorrow (Sunday 20 December), so if you're planning on crossing the border after then p...lease have your approved pass ready: www.qld.gov.au/border-pass Additionally, Queensland Health are calling on anyone who has been to the locations listed in the image below at those particular times to get tested immediately even if showing the mildest of COVID symptoms. This includes The Glen Hotel in Eight Mile Plains. You can stay updated with the latest Queensland COVID contact tracing alerts here: https://bit.ly/2KJ5QXt

22.01.2022 It's not often I agree with New South Wales Health Minister Brad Hazzard, but he is spot on when it comes to the appalling behaviour of the federal government #auspol
21.01.2022 As part of our Townsville Regional Recovery Action Plan the Palaszczuk Government invested in Glencore's Mount Isa copper smelter to ensure operations could continue and the jobs of more than 1000 Queenslanders were secured. We've got big plans for our state's north and it's all centred around employment, industry and opportunity. More here: https://bit.ly/32eZgy0... #UniteAndRecover #QLDjobs

It invests in our services, our traditional sectors, our future industries, our people. Since 2015 the Palaszczuk Labor Government has built a stronger health system, a smarter education system, and has created more than 250,000 jobs.... And as we emerge from the toughest economic period of our lifetime, our government will work tirelessly to improve the lives of every Queenslander.
19.01.2022 Your late night reminder this happens early morning tomorrow
19.01.2022 Queensland needs certainty from Canberra about COVID vaccine supply and delivery times. Our hospitals are finding out what is getting delivered by the federal government way too late and that has meant they've had to hold onto doses to ensure they can provide second doses on time. #auspol

09.01.2022 This video was shared with industry stakeholders around our state on budget day, and it's worth sharing with you too. It's a concise walkthrough of the key numbers from the budget, how we're going to support Queensland industries, and, of course, the ways in which we'll create Queensland jobs. #QLDBudget www.budget.qld.gov.au

07.01.2022 What have you done at your place to get ready for disaster season? Here in Queensland, we know how wild and unpredictable the weather can be. From severe storms to high temperatures causing bushfires, we’re encouraging everyone to be prepared. ... Follow these three simple steps: have an emergency and evacuation plan, pack your emergency kit and make sure you’re covered. More info: https://www.getready.qld.gov.au/ #getreadyqueensland
04.01.2022 With cafes, restaurants, pubs, clubs and RSLs all now required to electronically collect information from patrons at check-in, we also need the help of Queenslanders to ensure this system works. So we can keep containing COVID and contact trace quickly and effectively, we recommend you use electronic sign-in methods when visiting Queensland businesses this holiday period.
