14.01.2022 While we're on the subject of fuel fittings and tanks, this is what it looks like when the wrong grade of aluminium is used when making weld in fittings! This tank was brought to us after having some fittings welded in at another shop. They had been back to them for multiple repairs on the fittings for cracking before coming to us. The damage was so bad that we had to weld on a patch before using our own weld in fittings to finish the job properly. All our fittings are machin...ed in house using 6061 T6 Aluminium. Don't get caught out like these guys did and make sure to come see the professionals in the Aluminium game so mistakes like this aren't costing you money! #camescofab #fueltank #repairs #tigwelding #aluminium #machining
