24.01.2022 What a weekend the Paton Family Racing boys had!! Both cars performed at their peak which allowed Lochie in the dragster, to run a PB of 4.17 to the 1/8th mile at 275kmph, while Damon muscled the funny car down the track to a 4.26!!!! Along with being the 2 fastest cars at the Palmyra track on the weekend, Lachie also took away the top qualifier trophy with a reaction time of 0.04 seconds. Wish Mr CAM Fab could pull these speeds out on the floor in the shop ... What a great team! My ears are still ringing and our voices are slowly coming back after cheering you on. P.s The stickers adhesiveness is 100%.

24.01.2022 Here we go with another product... This time we have something for the offroad/winch truck community. This is our GQ extra cab rollcage which meets and exceeds AASA, CCDA and CAMS specifications. This cage is now available three ways- Flat pack DIY... Fully welded ready to slide in a cut cab Complete in house install including extra cab conversion (or style side for offroad racing). As we are a AASA registered safety cage manufacturer, installing one of these cages will make it all smooth sailing when it comes to getting your vehicle log booked as it comes complete with a certificate of manufacture and serial number. As another option for in house install, we can also send all relevant paper work and have the cage documented and serial numbered with CAMS (Motorsport Australia) ready to apply for a log book.

22.01.2022 Quick update on a project we have on the go at the moment. - Albins mock gearbox mounted - L98 engine mounted - Chromoly rear end with spare wheel rack on top - Twin 3 inch into 5 inch exhaust (waiting on muffler)... Still to go- hydraulic bump stops, oil coolers, air boxes, sway bar, fuel tanks, exterior panels, bash plates, torque converter tank, relocate coils..... lots to go yet. See more

22.01.2022 We are now also now stocking a range of cool little time saver tabs and brackets. Zip-tie tabs, 10 pack $15 Mounting tags, 6-14mm, 10 pack $15-$18 Mounting tags with root nuts available in m6, m8 and m10, 10pack $25-30 Much much more coming. These are just some basic universals we have been using.

21.01.2022 So it turns out that a Canam x3 is not an effective stump removal machine!! Nothing a bit of heat and some custom made pullers couldn’t straighten. Then we have added a complete weld on chromoly bulk head from GRC, and backed it with our brace kit. Solid as and ready to get back to racing.

20.01.2022 SSS Round 2 results have finally been released and we are quite happy with the outcome. Managed to come away with 1st place on stages 2 & 6 and 3rd place on sta...ge 10. Among our other non podium finishes on the other stages we placed 7th overall. 19.01.2022 NEW PRODUCT!!! GQ Dual cab rear wall kit. CAM Fabrications is once again changing the game of what is being sold as kits on the DIY market. Its taken some arm twisting from Mrs Boss, but Im finally ready to give up my design to help others achieve a more cost effective and appealing finished product. Panels are made of 2mm zinc, offering rust protection but easily welded and paintable. All laser cut to shape, no hacking it out yourself.... Kit comes with all internal bracing and instructions. Prices starting from $970 + freight Optional extras - window, tray mount kit, coil brace kit. *At this stage we ONLY have the the GQ kit available. We DO NOT have kits for GUs or cruisers. ** More pictures coming tomorrow night, of this kit installed.

19.01.2022 NP300 protective bar work. This set is more aimed at preventing the stone chips the vehicle has been sustaining while on site. A great investment as they work a lot cheaper then a sill repair and paint work. We can also make a flatter step style to suit NP300 in our jig.

15.01.2022 It’s been a big build but the guys have finished up the last few jobs and Typan is now ready to head to Lowmead, this time safer and even more equiped. It’s been awesome to have this beast back in after 6yrs since its last visit, back when it was just me in my shed at home. The *safety cage we designed and built for Typan meets and exceeds CCDA specs and has been signed off for AASA and CAMS (Motorsport Aust.) allowing it to race in any offroad event in Australia and even ha...s a steel fuel tank to comply with Ultra4 regulations. * These cages are available in kit form, welded or unwelded. (Designed for GQ extra cab only) Complete with a VERY angry LS motor, this bad boy is one you should keep and eye out for on the track!

Swing out spare wheel carrier that when open acts as a handle for the BMA spec ladder. 85L water tank on the headboard BMA spec head board panel with logos laser cut.... Flush mount tie down points Fridge slide to suit 80L Engle Twin battery mounts Wiring area with gear tray. Centre locker compartment with lift lid and swing gate all sealed. A few weeks ago we were uncertain of the future of the workshop due to COVID 19 which happened right after Mrs Boss decided to go back to her old job for a bit, then our decision to keep our kids at home. 03.01.2022 Another local winch truck heading down to compete in the Lowmead 3 car challenge next weekend. The ‘Toyota defentrol’ owned by Whiskey Business Racing. Kristofer is a very capable upcoming custom fabrication guru and a good mate. Stoked we could help out with a couple of lengths of cage tube. We wish him and his team mates all the best next weekend. 03.01.2022 N70 Hilux crossmember rust! Everyone knows the N70 centre bearing crossmember is very prone to rusting out. We have now solved this problem by adding a complete laser cut zinc replacement crossmember to our fast growing products list. UPDATE- we now also have the radiator protection bar! These will be available as an non welded kit, welded assembly, or feel free to book in for a drive in drive out replacement.

03.01.2022 Here is one of our GU dual cab conversions that was completed a little while ago. It’s really great getting customer pics after the car has been painted. This one is our radius corner which includes drive in-drive to paint shop conversion, custom hand made and laser leveled radius corner wall, Aust. standards safety glass rear window, two child restraint points fitted, tubular rear coil hat braces, 6 tray mounts, rear interior re done AND mod plated PLUS MORE. ... 02.01.2022 Raise the roof 100mm.... sounds simple hey... till everything is connected to the roof! As you’ll notice in the cad drawings we do up for pre approvals from CAMS and AASA complete with updates to suit current regulations, red was removed and replaced with the green. It was a pleasure to be able to help the guys out and know they will be safe and have the appropriate head clearance.

01.01.2022 General Lee This has to be hands down the sexiest thing weve had come through the shop (sorry Mrs Boss ) The General Lee came into our shop to have child restraints fitted which has made for one very happy 3 yr old boy, who can now go cruising with his super cool dad. ... We were able to fit up two child restraints with large stainless backing plates with the only modifications to the vehicle being two holes in the parcel shelf. Big thanks to CCW vehicle approvals for assistance with the design and quick mod plate. This beast just arrived from the States very recently, complete with a 440 big block, LH drive, dixie horn, and the original Dukes of Hazzard actors signatures! WOW......just WOW

01.01.2022 Patrol coil conversion kits! We now offer a complete kit to convert from leaf spring rear suspension to coil spring. It is getting hard to find rust free components for this conversion. So we have designed our own super duty take on the factory Nissan parts. And just to spice things up they are designed to take a KING 2.0 hydro bump stop!... These coil hats and brace tubes can also be purchased separately to replace bent factory coil hats (much cheaper then $400 standard units) These will be available in- DIY kit from $1084 Supply and install from $2967 (Not including diff, suspension or tray and accessories remove and refit)
