13.01.2022 A sad week this week on the farm, first Mrs Grey, a quirky bantam hen has gone to the big roost in the sky. Then Ice Doctor (NZ), affectionately known as The Doctor, Doccie or simply Doc was put to sleep after taking a turn. He was still going strong up until the end, eager for his feed and sticking his head into the shed to see what was taking so long! Doccie was a 28 year old thoroughbred gelding who had 70 starts on the track with 8 wins and 17 places, earning $345,000 in... prize money back in the day. He had a second career getting Jo Harris back into the saddle after she returned to Australia to compete in HRCAV dressage, show jumping and cross-country events before retiring to Camloch Farm to see out his days. He'll be sorely missed, rest well Doccie you've earned it.
