23.01.2022 Part 3/60 of the Golden Hollywood series is a dark portrait of the ultimate early 20th century "It Girl", Bebe Daniels. One of the first of the "flappers", Bebe Daniels was a superstar of silent films, and her iconic short black hair and emotive acting upon a silent medium is the stuff of legends. Part 4 will be out tonight!

18.01.2022 Part 6 of the Golden Hollywood series pays tribute to British actress, model, and humanitarian, Audrey Hepburn. She began her performing career with ballet, training in Amsterdam as a young girl. Her striking looks and poise onstage saw her become a ready made actress, and she made her film debut in 1948's Dutch in Seven Lessons. She played bit part roles throughout the 40s, before managing her first starring role in 1953's Roman Holiday, where she played a princess who fell ...in love with an American newsman. Her star rose throughout the 50s, before scoring her most iconic role yet - the role of Holly Golightly in 1961's Breakfast at Tiffany's. She semi-retired in 1968 to spend more time with her family, and to focus on her humanitarian career with UNICEF. She was diagnosed with a rare form of abdominal cancer in 1992, and passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 20th, 1993, aged 63.

07.01.2022 Part 4! Swashbuckling Australian actor, Errol Flynn. Born in Tasmania, Flynn starred in numerous adventure films, such as Robin Hood, and The Adventures of Don Juan. His off-screen passions of drinking, fighting, boating, and sex outweighed his contribution to the silver screen, and after three statutory rape charges, his career bottomed out. After the IRS took what little money he had left, he started to act seriously again in his late 40s, until his untimely death at the age of 50. Part 5 will be out tonight!

02.01.2022 Part 5 of my Golden Hollywood series - one of the greatest entertainers that the world has ever known, Elvis Presley. A superstar of both music and film, Elvis Presley, or "The King", was arguably the most famous person in the world during his active period. He is now the best-selling music artist of all time. He debuted his classic voice in 1954, and continued to perform until his untimely death. After his marriage to Priscilla Presley ended in 1974, Elvis gained a tremendou...s amount of weight. His mind and body were dulled by the ludicrous pharmacopeia he ingested daily and he would often not appear for scheduled performances. On August 16th, 1977, Presley's years of self-inflicted abuse unfortunately ended his life. His body was found on the toilet of his Graceland Ranch in Memphis, Tennessee. While his last few years were a true horror show, Presley still has a legion of loyal fans, thousands of whom visit his grave at the very same ranch where he passed away, every single year.
