23.01.2022 On this date - 29 November - in 2015, Samuels journey with TM had begun. Today we are reflecting on this journey since then; how lucky we are to still have him; how thankful we are for the loving support of family, friends & community and the dedication of the staff at Logan Childrens Emergency Department Logan Hospital and Lady Cilento Childrens Hospital (Qld Childrens Hospital) Childrens Health Queensland. The photos: Entering the ambulance for the 2.00am transfer from Logan to LCCH; Induced coma by 7.00am on Day 1 at LCCH; Day 120; Goofing around with a couple of school awards Oct 18; Boccia silver medal at states competition Nov 18. Three years on & Samuel still powers on with his positive attitude.

21.01.2022 Sad news tonight as we heard of the passing of the beautiful Dexter - the West Highland Terrier - that provided so much joy for Samuel in hospital. Our thoughts to Tanya and the Delta Therapy Dogs family.

20.01.2022 Some belated results from the QLD Boccia Battle and the Boccia Australia National Titles. Samuels played well in the QLD Boccia Battle earning himself QLD State Champion for the BC3 classification. Samuel and team mate Nathan (pictured) placed with the bronze medal for the National Pairs BC3 classification. It was a great weekend with a lot of learning that took place watching some very experienced players. Nationals in Hobart next year ... Very proud of his efforts!

17.01.2022 Huge thanks to supporters and guests at this years very successful Trivia & Auction Night and especially for the clean up effort at the end of the night. 15.01.2022 We are proud to share that Samuel was awarded the Junior Male Athlete for 2019 at the Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association Annual Awards Dinner held on Friday 13th March. Ms Kelli Chilton, the SWDA General Manager presented Samuel with his award. What an amazing achievement for Samuel - Congratulations! Great also to catch up again with Paralympian Matt McShane.

14.01.2022 Samuel was one of twenty-six members of the Sporting Wheelies Junior Development Squad announced yesterday. This squad will meet for four days in the June/July school holidays. Samuel will meet other junior athletes from all over Queensland who participate in a range of paralympic sports. Way to go Samuel! We look forward to seeing your progress. Well done!

14.01.2022 Your support in this e-petition would be appreciated please. Samuel receives no transport funding through the NDIS as he is under 18. If we have car problems, we would be reliant on taxis for transport for Samuel. 50% subsidy up to $25 each way would get Samuel to school + $20 lift fee each way so approximately $90 for each school day.

05.01.2022 Today I had the pleasure of two big things for club. Today we got to unveil our beautiful donated banner from Office Works Aspley team ! And the beautiful gener...osity and our true boccia family spirit! Sam was generously donated a boccia beginners set by Maxwell Pro of which he decided to give Glenda her very own set of Boccia balls and a target ! This club makes me so proud everyday and we are truely just an extension of a family ! 03.01.2022 Back in July 2016, Samuel had a visit from the Aussie Rollers, Matt McShane and Tige Simmons (who presented him with a signed team training shirt). After Samuel finished the Sporting Wheelies and Disabled Association JDP today, it was great to catch up again with Matt who popped in to see the Junior Development Program Squad Members. Also yesterdays amazing shot - first time placing a shot on top of the other balls. Really great effort by Samuel over the last four days. Proud of him!

02.01.2022 Two sleeps to go until Campaign for Samuels trivia and auction night! Unfortunately, this year the star of the show wont be joining us. Samuel has been admitted to hospital with pneumonia, secondary to a lung infection. He is doing really well and we anticipate he will be back into the swing of things soon! We still have a couple of tables spare for the night, so if youve not purchased tickets yet or know of someone who might like to tag along please let them know and bu...y tickets. You dont need to have a full table to attend! Raffle tickets are still available also - Elton John is itching to see you at his show!
