25.01.2022 Campbell High has produced 4 ANZAC Spirit winners in 4 years! Both recipients this year were our students, absolutely super girls. They have both represented us and the ACT well! Here is Ella Kruger laying the wreath at the Centenary of the Battle for Poziers. Congratulation on a job well done, Ella!

24.01.2022 Congratulations to all those who contributed in so many ways to yesterday’s celebration of Campbell High School’s 50th Anniversary. The well-planned and executed day of activities - from the Commemorative Assembly through the tree-planting, tour of the school with displays of photos and memorabilia to the Cocktail Reception gave us many opportunities to reminisce and catch up with old school friends. Our thanks go to Heather Paterson (Principal) and her staff, Diana Kerr (P...&C President) and volunteer parents, past students Rosemary Tweedie (Barwick), David Rowell and Geoff Boyd, whose contributions ensured the success of the day. It was wonderful to see so many past students, teachers and parents turn up to renew old friendships, indulge in a bit of nostalgia and celebrate 50 years of Campbell High’s service to the community. I was kept so busy during the day chatting with everyone that I didn’t have much opportunity to take photos. I have attached a few that I managed to take but would appreciate those of you who did get some shots (and I am sure there are many) either sending them to me at [email protected] or posting them to the Anniversary Facebook page yourselves (preferably including names). This will enable those who were unable to attend yesterday to share in the celebrations. 18.01.2022 Somewhere on these pages there has been a request for a colour photo of the uniform! Luckily my skirt is just longer than my blazer so you can spot the Campbell Tartan. September 1975, at Canberra airport on way to Sydney for NSW Combined High Athletics. A few more photos from the Sydney cricket ground when I win the argument with the scanner.

08.01.2022 I believe this is the earliest photo we have in the collection so far. It is of Class 1A in 1965. Most of these students turn 63 this year! Who do you recognise?

07.01.2022 VALE PETER SEARLE It is with great sadness that we record the passing of Bernard Peter Searle (3 April 1924 to 4 November 2015). Peter was the Principal of Campbell High School from 1981 to 1988. He was very fond of the students and staff of Campbell High and was proud of their achievements. He regretted being unable to attend the 50th Anniversary celebrations due to his declining health.... In his last message to the school in the 1988 Highlander Peter said: I have so many memories [of Campbell High] that I feel very rich. They will sustain me for a long time. Most of all I shall recall the happy greetings I received from students when I made occasional visits to classrooms. Peter’s funeral will be held at Norwood Park Cemetery on Monday 16 November at 12 noon.

06.01.2022 Last day of year 12, 22.10.1975. Breakfast with Lesley, Carol, Louise and Margaret, then up to school to plant trees, our year group's gift to the school. Hopefully they provided some shade eventually! will try again to get tree planting photo up.

03.01.2022 Campbell High recieved a 2016 Chief Minister's Gold Award at the Canberra Day Awards ceremony today (11/3/2016)

02.01.2022 The number of tickets being sold for the Cocktail Reception at the Mercure Canberra Hotel is limited and they are rapidly being taken up. Get in quickly if you don't want to miss out. At least 3 groups are organising for dinner ar various locations to follow the Cocktail Reception. If your year group isn't organising something yet why not get on to your old school friends and plan something. Could be dinner on the Saturday night or breakfast/brunch/lunch on the Sunday.
