22.01.2022 The countdown's well and truly begun. Only nine trading days till we close the big red door here in Bundaroo St. In late October/early November, Sue's moving down to The Acre, next to Dirty Jane's, and will be trading as Campbell + Spearman. Our phone number will stay the same: 02 4862 1452. We've certainly cleared an enormous amount of floor stock, but there are still some amazing fabrics left for just $5m. As for our sweet little cottage it will reopen in late October as a guesthouse, complementing Sue's other accommodation, The Hidden Door (you can book through Facebook, Stayz and Airbnb), which is tucked away behind Campbell + Robertson Fabrics. 20.01.2022 Lovers of beautiful textiles (and ceramics) are in for a treat at the Milk Factory Gallery this month. I'm thrilled because I scored an invite to the opening this Saturday. From 13 August to 13 September, beautiful works by Launceston-based artist Mairi Ward will be on show. Mairi works in a variety of media, with painting at the core of her practice. In 2009 she began to move into design, creating digital surface designs using imagery taken directly from her paintings. Thes...e designs have been printed onto a range of surfaces, including fabric, paper and ceramic decals. Mairi also makes slip cast Cool Ice porcelain ceramic objects, which have glazed interiors and hand polished exteriors with decals. After the slip is first cast each piece is extensively hand finished, making every object is unique. Pop by the gallery (33 Station St, Bowral) and see Mairi's astonishing work for yourself. 19.01.2022 What a lovely way to start the week. James Dunlop Textiles surprised us with dazzling new waterfalls from Bluebellgray. These eagerly awaited samples only arrived an hour ago and we've already placed an order for one very excited client. Pop by and drool over the vibrant floral and abstract designs in bright watercolours. We're open Monday to Friday from 9am till 5pm, at 17 Bundaroo St, Bowral (we'll be trading from this location until July; we'll keep you posted on where to next).

17.01.2022 Look what's just arrived at C & R. Two beautiful new fabrics, both perfect for curtains and light upholstery. See images below. The blue-and-white patterned fabric (Marco Polo Porcelain) is a linen (62%) and cotton (38%) mix; the green check (Sentry Menthol) is 76% cotton and 24% silk. Both are $39.60 a metre.

15.01.2022 If your couch has seen better days but you're not quite ready to reupholster, a medley of scatter cushions is the perfect interim solution. You'd be amazed at the effect a jumble of cushion styles, in complementary fabrics, can have not only on your couch but also on the look and feel of your entire room (oh, and on your spirits, too!). We have terrific fabrics in stock that are suitable for different shaped and sized cushions. And we have plenty of sample books from international suppliers, including Harlequin, which is where the amazing fabrics used in these dazzling images come from. Keep in mind that we also sell fabulous soft feather inserts, ranging in size from 40cm to 60cm. Come by and take a look.

09.01.2022 With only three days to go before we close here in Bundaroo St, our once fabric-filled store looks like this! Slim pickings, indeed, but there are still some lovely rolls left with enough on them to cover a chair, make a Roman blind or curtains. Remember: everything's now $5 a metre.

08.01.2022 To mark the end of an era (and exciting new beginnings!), Sue hosted a little staff drinks party last Friday night at the now fabric-free cottage. Amid the drop sheets and paint tins, we reflected on the wonderful years we spent at 17 Bundaroo St Come early November, Campbell + Spearman will be open for business at The Acre, which is shaping beautifully down by Dirty Jane's. 07.01.2022 It's been way too long between posts, sorry! We have exciting news: Come September, Campbell + Robertson Fabrics will be known as Campbell + Spearman Interiors, and we'll be relocating to Dirty Jane's (the new shop will look out onto the garden area). We're so excited! Before we move, we need to clear the floor stock, so ALL the FABRICS in store have been slashed by 50%. There are so many gorgeous fabrics to choose fromfor Roman blinds, curtains, upholstery, cushion covers... We're open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. We'd love to see you! Sue + the team

05.01.2022 Do you recognise this place? In a nod to its fabric past, we reluctantly left behind the gorgeous peacock "artwork". It was one of the first things the inaugural guests noticed when they opened the door on the weekend. As soon as we have images of our new premises at The Acre, I'll post them.

03.01.2022 One of our lovely customers, Helen from Kiama, told us yesterday that the World War I flick The Water Diviner features a gorgeous Titley & Marr paisley fabric we stock. (Ignore the fact that the UK-based fabric house was founded 66 years after the end of the war!) The fabric's called Shildon and it's $39.60m. We currently have 30 or so metres in stock---perfect for curtains similar to the ones our adopted son Russell stands in front of---but not for long!
