25.01.2022 I’m absolutely gobsmacked that enough councillors from our neighbouring council supported such a regressive concept. This would be laughable if there wasn’t so much at stake. It makes a mockery of the ACC climate emergency. Streets, especially those in the city, aren’t just for cars!!

22.01.2022 Uncertain times at the moment, so here is some advice from our council:

19.01.2022 We are experiencing some uncertain times again here in SA. It is certainly very sad to see so many local community events being cancelled or postponed but it is so important that we keep our community safe. For the latest information, please go to SA Health on facebook or their website.... Look after yourselves and let’s hope this is all resolved soon!

16.01.2022 I’m so pleased to see that Luke and Marie are returning to our wonderful Queen St precinct, to once again provide us with their spectacular crepes and coffee. The community support for Queen St businesses has been incredible in the past few months! I’m happy to have advocated for, and supported the council’s stimulus for our local businesses, to ensure we all get through this very difficult time.

16.01.2022 This is absolutely fantastic news for South Australia! Please continue to observe the restrictions and keep our community safe.

16.01.2022 An awesome local event is happening this Sunday. See you there!

12.01.2022 Some lovely activities happening in a great Kilkenny park:

11.01.2022 Did you know you can request a free tree to be planted outside of your property? Simply head to our website or call customer contact on 8408 1111, make the requ...est and we’ll then work with you to select a tree best suited to your verge and area (you can only request trees for your property). One of our team, like Tim here, will plant the tree and will share tips to help you look after your tree. Verge trees add greenery, increase the biodiversity and also add to the suburban tree canopy, reducing the urban heat Island effect. All requests must be received by the end of August. For more info visit www.charlessturt.sa.gov.au/services/home-and-property/trees

09.01.2022 Happy International Day of People with Disability. Did you know that over 4.3 million Australians identify as having a disability?! Our council is committed to supporting people with disability in our community. Our draft Disability Access and Inclusion Plan is a significant part of this. We encourage you all to provide feedback on our proposed tasks, plans and actions to make our city a more inclusive place for all.

07.01.2022 I hope everyone has been having a lovely Mother’s Day today.

05.01.2022 Please note your council waste collection is still happening over the next few days!

05.01.2022 I was very happy to support this initiative to ensure we take action on our climate change emergency.

05.01.2022 On Saturday there is an opportunity to find out more about this big project that impacts residents of the Hindmarsh Ward.

03.01.2022 Local resident Tracey Davis puts this best. Take part in consultation on reducing our food waste.

02.01.2022 I urge all our local businesses to consider entering these awards!

02.01.2022 Looking forward to seeing this!

02.01.2022 Incredible news! This couldn’t have been done without the amazing efforts of Kilkenny and West Croydon residents and all their participation and work throughout the consultation on this beautiful open space. Even better is that our 2020/21 council budget has funding for exercise equipment to be added to MJ McInerney Reserve. It was highly sought after but couldn’t be included in the original design. Now it will be!

01.01.2022 Here’s a great service available at our local community centre.
