20.01.2022 Hi everyone. We hope you’ve all been coping well during lockdown. As the restrictions are slowly being lifted we are getting numerous messages about reopening. This is not something we want to rush. We want to make sure it’s completely safe for everyone to attend lessons as there are still big restrictions for reopening swimming pools. We are getting new information every week so we need to take that on board and work out if that is something achievable for us or if we nee...d to wait longer. When we’ve made a decision you all will be the first to know. Kerry and Darren See more
19.01.2022 ***COVID 19 UPDATE*** Unfortunately the new easing of restrictions does not apply to indoor pools. So we are still closed for now. Hopefully things continue to head in the right direction and we can move to the next stage quickly. When we know more we will let everyone know.
09.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE As of 12pm today our pool is closed. No swimming for the rest of the term. When we will be able to reopen is anyones guess. We will try to keep everyone updated as soon as we know ourselves. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
09.01.2022 COVID-19 UPDATE As you are all aware we are a small swim school which has less than 20 people at any time in the building(sometimes only10!). We are disinfecting the building as best as possible and keeping chlorine levels at recommended levels. We are asking people to please support us a small business and continue with lessons where practical. If the Government declares that businesses must shut then we will credit (or refund) for the lessons lost. We need to know ASAP who ...is continuing so we can organise classes. Attached is the latest communication we have from the Shire. Messaging for the general public from DHHS Water quality at Victorian aquatic facilities is regulated by Local Government and the Department of Health and Human Services under the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2019. Aquatic facilities are required to treat all pool water using disinfectants such as chlorine to destroy germs such as coronavirus (COVID-19). Members of the public are reminded to: - Maintain good hygiene practices with frequent hand washing - Take pre-swim showers before entering the pool - Do not visit an aquatic facility if unwell. - Do not swim if you have diarrhoea and for 14 days after symptoms have stopped We encourage you to follow the instructions and recommendations by the Department of Health and Human Services website on Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) to get the most up to date information. https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus Response to questions from aquatic facilities on Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) Information for aquatic facility managers and pool operators provided by the DHHS Water Unit and Local Government Aquatic facilities are required to manage water quality in swimming pools, spa pools and interactive water features in accordance with the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2019. Exposure to pathogens in the workplace including in pool water, should be managed by ‘business as usual’ water quality requirements and occupational health and safety requirements including hygiene practices (such as more frequent hand-washing). Aquatic facilities are reminded to: - Continue to frequently monitor and test pool water quality to ensure compliance with the Public Health and Wellbeing Regulations 2019 - Encourage all staff and visitors to take pre-swim showers - Ensure all faecal incidents are managed appropriately - Continue to clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces in the aquatic facility environment - Reinforce ill swimmer exclusions and discourage any ill patrons from visiting the aquatic facility Aquatic facility staff can stay up to date with the latest information and recommendations about COVID-19 through the DHHS website https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au/coronavirus. They may wish to display posters available on this site to encourage behaviours that reduce the spread of infection.
06.01.2022 We have decided that due to the what’s happening in Victoria at the moment with Covid19, that we will not be opening for term 3. We do however hope that everything has settled down and we can reopen for term 4 in October. This has not been an easy decision to make but we hope that our customers can understand our situation. We hope to contact everyone in September to book the children back in. ... Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions. Regards Kerry
