It was one of the best NRL performances this season and it has seen the Rabbitohs’ odds for the NRL title firm in considerably. They should have no problems scoring a win over Canterbury on Friday, which is in for a long season. The Bulldogs couldn’t score a point against Brisbane, so that’s an awful form guide. South Sydney has to cover a huge spread, but they’re good enough. PREDICTION Rabbitohs by 20 8:05pm Melbourne Storm vs Brisbane Broncos @ AAMI Park The Melbourne Storm are currently lower on the table than Brisbane, but expect that to change relatively soon. Melbourne has faced tough opposition to start the season and it will enjoy facing a team likely to miss the top eight this season. The Broncos come off a 24-0 win over the Bulldogs, but Melbourne is far too good for the Queensland-based franchise on Friday. Expect a bold statement from the Storm tonight. 05.01.2022 Thursday Night Footy FREE NRL Play 8:05pm Manly Sea Eagles vs Penrith Panthers @ Lottoland... The Panthers remained unbeaten when getting the better of the Melbourne Storm last Thursday. It was a tough performance without Nathan Cleary in the squad and that win will do them plenty of good for the rest of the season. Manly comes off a 38-12 loss to the Dragons and there isn’t much to get excited about for Sea Eagles fans. They have been awful in 2021 and another loss looms. Hasler is a specialist of the 'siege-mentality' that has seen the Manly club enjoy the success but that seems so long ago now. The current line is 18.5 points, which is very high.
