The next corner put another customers freight into the trees on the roadside. 12.01.2022 An interesting tid-bit on this tractor - it's Australian made ! They were powered by a Perkins diesel (pretty common power plant). It's the first one I've had a close up & personal look at. A pretty good value for money proposition & looks like spares would be easy enough to find from other brands. The one pictured is a TDX85 - 4cyl turbo Perkins. Pretty basic inside, with A/C etc. Here's a bit of a blurb I gleamed off the interweb:... Merlin produced tractors in Australia from 1993 to 2012. The tractors were assembled in Melbourne and Merlin claimed that 25% to 55% of components were made in Australia. Merlin closed and its assets were auctioned in 2012.

As Christmas is quickly approaching (yes, you can't ignore it), now is the time to start thinking about getting your OSOM loads planned before the curfews kick in. In general terms, NSW has restrictions kicking in just before Christmas & varying levels thru until after the Australia Day long weekend. In NSW, OSOM movements on or east of the Newell highway are severely restricted during this time period. QLD & SA have similar rules in place. If you're considering moving or purchasing equipment that is going to fall into the OSOM realm, plan ahead & give us a call if you need advice... Avoid disappointment !
