23.01.2022 Return and Earn Drive What a fantastic effort by our families in support of St Vincent De Paul. We had more than 2000 items brought in today for collection as part of the Return and Earn program. Special thanks to Mrs. Seweryn and all student leaders who supported this initiative!

21.01.2022 This week at St Johns we supported the Bullying No Way Campaign 2020 and today we celebrated the launch! In line with World Downs Syndrome Day and on the eve of Harmony Day, we aimed to celebrate diversity and respect differences in others. We learned that we should never judge others or be unkind because someone is different. The children came to school with different socks to support World Down Syndrome Day. Our Year 6 students welcomed our parents this morning with a spe...cial ribbon to wear to show their support and even Mr Moroney got in on the act with his different socks! #LotsOfSocks #wdsd20 #WorldDownSyndromeDay



20.01.2022 Our Year 6 students have had a blast participating in cricket clinics funded by our Sporting Schools Grant! The clinics have been great opportunities for team and skill building!

20.01.2022 Sorry Day is held on 26th May each year. It is a time to remember the past policies and take some time to remember the stolen generations. It is a time to recognise the resilience of Aborignal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the power of saying sorry. 14.01.2022 Some of our students were able to join with the nation in commemorating ANZAC Day in their own homes. As a school community, we pray for all men and women who have died while serving in the armed forces.

12.01.2022 After a night walk and roasting marshmallows by the camp fire, all students are in bed with lights out by 9.30pm!

11.01.2022 Today is R U OK Day - a day which reminds us to check in with those around us! Our students completed activities to raise attention to this day and crafted a beautiful paper chain filled with positive affirmations. The chain decorated the entrance to the school. The students also loved showing off their bright yellow wrist bands! Our staff were also treated to some small gifts to encourage them to take the time to focus on well being and positive connections. Delicious cooki...es were generously donated to the staff by Sugar High By B! Thank you to all the staff who supported this day!

10.01.2022 Year 4 have been looking at street art and graffiti in art! Today they brought the playground to life by drawing bugs with chalk. The classes discussed how street art is temporary and can be painted over or can wash away.

09.01.2022 Year One have been learning to draw Fish in Visual Art! They learnt how oil pastels resist the water paint to magically allow their drawings to shine through the paint. Check out some of their amazing art works!

09.01.2022 Knit4need - was an initiative by the CEO to make scarfs and other warm items for homeless people. This was in conjunction with St Vincent de Paul. Our school really got behind the knitting needles to help people in need. We thank all the teachers, parents and grandparents who got those knitting needles humming!!!... We did such amazing work with over 100 scarfs and 50 hats and gloves, as well as some crocheted blankets. We thank the school community for coming together to help people in need. We think Campbelltown may have a wool shortage soon!!!!

04.01.2022 Last week, on World Teachers’ Day, we acknowledged some of our amazing teachers for 10 years of service in the Diocese of Wollongong. We are so blessed to have them in our school community!

04.01.2022 Today we celebrated our opening schools mass for 2020 with Father John. Thank you to all who were able to celebrate with us!

03.01.2022 Staff and students had a wonderful time celebrating NAIDOC Week. We began the week with all students participating in an exciting and interactive workshop, Cheeky Emus, led by Eleanor Clapham and inspired by the language, songs, stories and dances of the Maurrawarri peoples. Students also engaged in a range of classroom activities including making Rainbow Serpents and creating Dreaming Story Stones.

02.01.2022 A few more shots of the fun Year 6 had at camp the past two days. Their teachers were very proud of their behaviour and it was also acknowledged by many of the staff at Teen Range! We hope they treasure these memories of their time together in their final Year at St John’s!

02.01.2022 Last week the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island students had the privilege of sharing a very special cultural experience with Andrew. He showed us how to cut a coolamon from one of our local trees. Andrew spoke with us about the tools he used to cut the coolamon, then he presented it to Elle for her soon to be born baby. Thank you to all involved.

02.01.2022 Footy Frenzy Friday! Our students supported their favourite sporting team today in order to raise funds for Project Compassion. So far we have raised over $700!
