24.01.2022 Evening Everyone, Merry Christmas! It is with sad regret that i write this post to inform everyone, that when we attended the Hall today we found that someone ...had broken in. We have lost most of the instruments however, most of the percussion is in tact. The police have attended and finger printed and we urge anybody that sees these instruments for sale to please contact admins ASAP; Silver Sousaphone- Black Case BBb Tuba- Black Wooden Case Yamaha Alto Saxophone- Brown Case No.16 SEHS Engraving. Flute- Black Case SEHS Engraving Clarinet- Black Case SEHS Engraving Admin are working together closely during this time to resolve any other further requirements. We will still be starting in the New Year and we are still planning for Australia Day Pre-Rehearsals and will post soon regarding further info for that. We are seeking a Bass Player for this event as we now no longer have an instrument for the event, we would be immensely grateful. Thankyou, Please take care and We hope you Enjoy your festivities! 20.01.2022 WE'RE BACK! Thanks to the hard work of South Australians (and others!), the restrictions have been eased for inside gatherings! This means we can now fit the whole band in our (thankfully spacious) band room, with all attendees following approved COVID-safe plan regulations. A big thanks goes to the Campbelltown City Council for working with us and other community groups to safely reopen their facilities our rehearsal venue.... Like most groups, we are continually monitoring the constantly changing situation and guidelines to ensure full compliance with all relevant safety regulations and advice.

19.01.2022 Campbelltown City Band came 3rd in C-grade in the State Band Championships today. This is a monumental leap from being in D-grade a few years ago. All due to the marvelous leadership of our Musical Director, Peter Smith, and the musical improvements he has been able to extract out of us. Hard work but it sure paid off. We actually came 2nd in the Test piece out of the 6 bands at this level. (Photo courtesy of the live streamed video by brassbanned.com)

18.01.2022 The Campbelltown City Band is celebrating 100 years of banding this year. We are holding a special concert in September, and are looking to involve as many past players as possible. Unfortunately, band records are likely out of date. To help us contact as many as possible, if you, or someone you know, has played with the Campbelltown Band, please PM your details through to us so we can send you an invitation and keep you updated on the plans for our concert. Please like and share so that we can reach as many people as possible. Thank you!

17.01.2022 Amazing concert yesterday by Campbelltown City Band in the lovely building of All Souls' church. We raised $1,569.75 for the Athelstone CFS. Way more than expected with so many donations above the ticket cost. Thank you to everyone who came and those who played or dished out the delicious afternoon tea.

16.01.2022 It seems the gremlins were on the web site. For some reason the location for our free community concert this Sunday was incorrect - it should have been the Campbelltown Function Centre. Hope to see you there!

16.01.2022 Congratulations Peter and Wayne - 2nd and 3rd in the ballad - great job!!

13.01.2022 Sorry to hear Julie Dorey's Mum died today, six months after her Dad. Campbelltown City Band sends their collective condolences and assures her of our love and support.

11.01.2022 NOTICE to CCB Players and Friends: Not only have concerts been cancelled but band rehearsals have been put on hold to be re-assessed after Easter. Considering the Prime Minister indicated current controls will be in place for 6 months it doesn't look too good for band over the Winter season.

10.01.2022 Campbelltown City Band took part in the National On Line Band Festival/Competition today and were video recorded for replay and adjudication over the Easter Weekend. Lots of other bands took part today too. Thanks o Jo Cross from Mitcham for the photo.

10.01.2022 Dont forget, tonights your chance to dust off your instrument - or borrow one from us for the evening - and come along for a rehearsal! Whether you have played in the past or currently play a brass instrument, drums, or tuned percussion were looking forward to seeing you!

10.01.2022 Who says trombone players don't have a sense of humour...

06.01.2022 For those who knew Etta.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to all our players who performed at the solo championships today. Especially to Sam for his first place in open tenor trombone, to Sam and Peter for first in the duet and to our wonderful quartet Ian, Jordan, Andrew and Wayne for a second place. A great representation of some of the talent the band has within its ranks. Well done!!

06.01.2022 A reminder that Campbelltown City Band's annual fundraising concert is coming up soon on Sunday 11th October at the Campbelltown Function Centre. 2pm $15 or $10 Conc. Booking via Trybooking is best but tickets will be available at the door until all approved seating is filled up. I think we can only seat 140 or so including the band.
