24.01.2022 Finally, we can announce the Grand Champion Orchid of the Show. The winning plant is Pot. Lisa Taylor Gallis grown by Ray Cockroft. Ray or "The Pom" as he is affectionately known as in our club has a great love for and dedication to his Cattleyas. He has honed and perfected the art of cultivating and exhibiting these plants over the last 30 years. A very deserving recipient of this award an a very worthy plant. Congratulations Ray! Cymbidiums and Australian Natives are in full bloom along with a number of exotic varieties on display too. There are 60 categories in this show, we guarantee you will find an orchid you have never seen before! We are so excited to have this 52 page coloured magazine to show off the prized plants our members have been growing during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are due to be dispatched to our members this week, but if anyone else wants to get their hands on the limited few hard copies we have spare send us a message. 03.01.2022 As far as Champion Specimen Orchid goes, it was hard to go past this Paphiopedilum Species. This is Ray Cockrofts Paph.insigne grown into a beautiful specimen and a worth winner. Atian Tsai is a great lover of Paphiopedilum Orchids and we think he has the best! He was very generous in his donations and is the proud sponsor to the Champion Specimen Award. Atian regularly sells on eBay and through his Facebook page. There is always a bargain to be had and his plants are second to none! Go check them out!
