25.01.2022 A huge congratulations to Kasun Niranjana who tonight was crowned SWCA Division 1 Cricketer Of The Year. Kasun had an outstanding year accumulating 388 runs and taking 20 wickets. He was also named in the SWCA team of year. Well done Kasun youve made the club proud

25.01.2022 A FREE Corangamite Cricket Blast Pilot Program is being launched in Camperdown with Cricket Victoria through a new community platform called A Helping Hand. Its purpose is to ensure that ALL kids can participate in cricket, not just those who can afford to do so. Helping Hand is a program that is being developed in the Corangamite Shire to connect local communities, in particular vulnerable and disadvantaged families and children. A big part of this is built through sport ...which provides social connections, physical activity, confidence, new experiences and role models. Therefore, A Helping Hand has partnered with Cricket Victoria to develop a pilot program titled, Corangamite Cricket Blast that will be trialled in Camperdown with all Grade 3 & 4 students having the opportunity to play Woolworths Cricket Blast for no fee. The cost previously was $99 per child. They are working with local schools to deliver a program that seeks to remove barriers for children participating in sport. These barriers can include travel, appropriate shoes and clothing as well as building the confidence to engage through cricketing mentors and buddying programs.

23.01.2022 Congratulations to Ricky Carr who will play his 200th senior game for the Lakers against Cobden tonight. Games starts at 5.30pm at the Cobden Rec Reserve. 15.01.2022 Hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Years. The boys are back at this week with trainings Tuesday and Thursday nights starting at 5.45. During the break our Woolworths Master Blasters had the opportunity to play on the MCG during the lunch break. The kids were then fortunate enough to be chosen to form the Guard of Honor to welcome the Aussie Test side back onto the ground after the lunch break.
