25.01.2022 We have been quietly busy since reopening in June. One of the projects we have been working on has been this table restoration. We think it has turned out pretty well! We look forward to sharing more of our projects

25.01.2022 We had such a great time at the Camperdown Show this weekend, especially meeting with all of you who popped in for a visit at the Shed! This was a particular highlight for us, we got to hold the official Melbourne Cup!

24.01.2022 Our members and partners enjoyed a lovely Christmas break up at the Camperdown bakery. We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy and safe New Years.

24.01.2022 The Camperdown Mens Shed is meeting tomorrow, Tuesday 20 February from 9am-12pm at the Mens Shed at the Camperdown Showgrounds. The Camperdown Mens Shed aims to provide a safe, friendly and healing environment. Members are able to work on meaningful projects at their own pace, in their own time and in the company of others. We look forward to welcoming you to the Mens Shed.

22.01.2022 The Mens Shed on morning tea break, make sure you schedule your visit at the right time to share in a cupa or biscuit. We always have a good time with a laugh and sharing stories.

21.01.2022 Re-purposing at its finest! We are reducing landfill by using old juice containers to make an effective and stylish storage solution. We use these in the Shed for screws and nails and the like, but you really can use them for almost anything! The Mens Shed meet every 9am-2pm Tuesday and Thursday at the Showgrounds, come and say hi or join us for a cupa at 10am either day.

21.01.2022 Water divining is another talent some of our members have.

19.01.2022 Another great community project completed by our team! The Camperdown kinder asked us for some help to restore this old model aeroplane. See how it looked before, during and after all the hard work. If you have a project you would like us to work on, please call Camperdown Community House on 5593 1403.

18.01.2022 We have loved supporting the Camperdown Community House with the Community Garden Project!

17.01.2022 The men have been busy today finishing a bench seat that has already sold! Pictured is Alan Thompson varnishing the slats and Colin Rutter painting the back in preparation for its assembly. Another job well done!

17.01.2022 St Patricks School Camperdown students are presented with a wooden foot when they start school, the feet are made by the members of the Camperdown Mens Shed. Students decorate their feet with their own design and the school presents each student with their wooden foot when they graduate from school as a memento of their time at St Patricks Primary School. This is a wonderful cross-generational community project and the Mens Shed are thrilled to be a part of a project that encourages students to create and celebrate memories of their school years.

16.01.2022 We were thrilled to be a part of such an important community event, Life in the Avenue on the 10th October, supporting Mental Health Awareness in our community. Thanks to South West Health for your hard work in putting it all together, we hope to be a part of it again next year!

16.01.2022 The Mens Shed is always busy with new projects, do you have something you would like made or repaired? Contact 55931403 or pop in for a visit 9am-2pm Tuesdays and Thursdays (at the Camperdown Show Grounds) to have a chat about what you need. They may not always be able to help, depending on what equipment is needed, but when they can they do an excellent job! Here are some pictures of some of the Mens Shed team working on a new project, restoring an old chair to former glory.

15.01.2022 Its been a while between posts, but we have still been busy working on a number of projects! One project has been the Safe Houses Project that is raising awareness about Elder Abuse. We teamed up with Corangamite Arts who are decorating each of the wooden model houses we have built for the project. You can see some of the Corangamite Arts team in the picture below getting busy and creative! A great community effort

13.01.2022 Most of you will know that we are located at the Camperdown Show Grounds which is owned and operated by the P&A Society. They do such a tremendous amount for community groups like ours, and support wider community initiatives and events. We are thrilled to be able to support them at times with projects like this one, a portable bar. A pretty nifty job, if we do not say ourselves!

13.01.2022 The Camperdown Mens Shed and members organised their seventh annual Cup Day luncheon, which was well supported and attended by Mens Shed members and members of the wider community. A fun day was had by all.

13.01.2022 We have hit the ground running this year! Among the number of projects we are involved in, we have been creating timber model houses as a part of the Warm Safe Home Project - supporting awareness of Elder Abuse This project aims to start conversations about older peoples rights to feel safe in their homes. Community groups, aged care centres, schools, and mens sheds will take part in the community art project. More than 500 handcrafted paper houses along with a series of timber model houses (like what we have been making) will be created in time for public display on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, June 15th 2020.

12.01.2022 One of our latest projects is this potting table. What do you think? We were asked to build it for someone and it is coming along nicely. If you or someone you know is interested in joining in with our Mens Shed activities, please get in touch.

12.01.2022 The Camperdown Mens Shed meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am - 12pm at the Camperdown Showgrounds. You can just come and have a yarn and a cuppa if that is all youre looking for. Members of Mens Sheds come from all walks of life the bond that unites them is that they are people with time on their hands and they would like to do something meaningful with that time.... For more info, contact 5593 1403 or just pop in for a visit!

The chair has not been completely finished yet, but we wanted to give you a look at the progress. Well done Mens Shed!

07.01.2022 This Thursday (12th December) will be our last day open for the year. What a year it has been! We want to thank everyone who has supported the Mens Shed this year, and those who have been a part of the life of the shed in any way. We hope you all have a wonderful and safe festive season, and look forward to seeing you again in the new year! 04.01.2022 We hope you all had a fabulous weekend. This is another project we have completed recently as a custom order. Quite a unique letter box, we like the finished product!

03.01.2022 A fantastic community initiative the Camperdown Mens Shed has recently been involved in is the Beyond the Bell Great South Coast Open Book Program. This program aims to make books freely available for children and families. Open Book outlets will be located at all early childhood venues throughout the Corangamite Shire Council and are a part of supporting early literacy and development. The Camperdown Mens Shed have worked in partnership with other Mens Sheds around the Shire to build the display boxes that will house the books in each outlet.

03.01.2022 A work in progress, this project is being headed up by John who is making a custom order table.

02.01.2022 95 years young, and still going strong, a fantastic member and we couldnt imagine Mens Shed without him!

02.01.2022 We have sadly had to close our doors for the time being. We hope you are all keeping well, safe at home, and we look forward to seeing you when we are given the go ahead to fre-open.

02.01.2022 Well be there tomorrow, come and say hi!
