13.01.2022 ARDLETHAN, NSW Today took us through a neat little town that lays claim to being the birthplace of the Australian Kelpie. A service station, little supermarket, cafe, pub, op shop (nothing is opened Sundays thought) and a FREE short-stay Caravan area next to a great playground with toilets. You can also pay $2 for 12hours of power via a coin-operated electricity box. ... 12.01.2022 Yes we have a long range fuel tank installed by @arbnarellan During our Lorella Springs trip we planned to stop for fuel in the next town. Through sheer bad luck the town experienced a power outage and expected it to be hours before the fault was fixed. This really hot day with an 18month old & 7week old twins, limited shady areas & no town power meaning no air con could have ended badly, but we aren’t the type to take silly risks so had our backup jerry cans full which h...elped us to the next town. Travelling can be unpredictable, especially with young kids, so that day we decided to have a long range fuel installed when we returned. We increased our 80L capacity to 140L & still carry 2x20L jerry cans. We’ve basically covered the small cost of our new tank with the amount of money saved in being able to fill up more fuel on cheaper days / in cheaper towns, but the peace of mind knowing we can carry extra fuel when exploring outback areas was a good enough reason for us. #longrangefueltank #arbnarellan @arb4x4 #arb4x4 #4wdaccessories #4x4accessories #fueltank #fueltankupgrade #4x4 #fordranger #travellingfamily #travellingoutback #travellingremote #travellingoutbackaustralia
