Many people don’t know that Camp Kokoda is owned and operated by the Kokoda Youth Foundation which is a registered charity and non-profit organisation that runs the Kokoda Challenge Youth Programs and The Kokoda Challenge events. Currently, Camp Kokoda is the only stream of income for the Kokoda Youth Foundation due to the cancellation of the the #KokodaChallenge, which has placed enormous strain on the future of our youth programs that has helped hundre...ds of kids in the local community every year. At Camp Kokoda, staff sleeping quarters are currently lacking and we desperately need to convert our shed mezzanine to provide private rooms for those camp instructors needing to stay onsite long-term due to border crossing restrictions. These renovations will enable Camp Kokoda to operate at full capacity for the remainder of the year and help substitute the financial loss the Kokoda Youth Foundation suffered from the cancellation of these events. So, what do we need exactly?
