24.01.2022 On this day exactly one year ago I was in Glastonbury, England! I sat on a park bench in Glastonbury Abbey ruins, by King Arthur's grave, and made this sketch on a beautiful sunny day.

22.01.2022 A beautiful afternoon to be starting a new painting in the garden!

21.01.2022 Pencil portrait on wallpaper

19.01.2022 Just for the Harry Potter fans. Who to draw next?

19.01.2022 Our last Monday Medley Pop Up concert at Nazareth School in Grovedale this afternoon. A big thank-you to everyone who sang along and joined in the jun over the past weeks of remote learning. That was lots of fun!!!

18.01.2022 On this day last year I was in the midlands on England. I've always loved sketching the old Tutor buildings, particularly around Worcester and Shrewsbury. It also find it interesting that when most people, (including myself!) take a photo, we often try to enhance or improve the image. Yet despite how well i crop it or add filters, it will never compensate for actually seeing the thing in real life!

18.01.2022 MISSING CHICKEN! One of our chickens has escaped and we can't find it. If anyone finds an ISA Brown chicken roaming around Point Lonsdale could you please return it to our house, the local vet or give me a call. Here is a portrait I did a few years back, it looks like this. I don't mind the chickens going in the front yard but if it has crossed the road, i'll have some serious questions to ask it!

17.01.2022 Be sure to go and see the Little Malop Street Christmas trees, now on display in central Geelong. Some of our wonderful senior students from St Catherine of Siena Catholic School in Armstrong Creek planned and coordinated this amazing tree which involved around 130 students contributing each to a 'bauble'. If you are in Geelong, be sure to check out all the trees made by local schools, they look fantastic!

16.01.2022 A new little artwork... 'Point Lonsdale Surfer Girl!'

16.01.2022 My Year 5-6 students at Nazareth School in Grovedale have been making some super cool soft sculptures. Originally inspired by the artist Mirka Mora, my students have gone on a tangent making everything from animals to emojis to minecraft and among us' characters, and much more! Here's a small selection of their cool creations!

16.01.2022 Pottery glazed and ready for firing!

16.01.2022 Another student request for a portrait. Some girl from tik tok?

15.01.2022 A little while back, our Year 6 Arts and Culture Leaders at Nazareth School in Grovedale had an idea to paint to Deputy Principal's office. They came up with a few different concepts, presented the idea to the DP, and agreed on a log 'cabin in the woods' style mural. I reckon it's pretty cool! The next plan is to decorate the blank spaces with a gallery of student work in frames. We have some pretty cool students at our school!

14.01.2022 On this day last year I was on Jacob's Ladder Beach in South Devon, England. Anyone familiar with this part of the world will recognise this scene. I did this sketch in my sketchbook whilst i was there.

13.01.2022 Another fun afternoon at Nazareth's 5th Monday music Medley pop-Up Concert!!!

13.01.2022 On this day exactly one year ago I was having a Devonshire Tea on the south Devon coast of England. If there was anything I learnt from that experience... the cream goes on first!

13.01.2022 BLUEBIRD FOUNDATION INC. STENCIL ART WORKSHOP It was an exciting finale to the Bluebird Foundation Inc Stencil Street Art Workshops with our young artists completing some fantastic large pieces of work. Their artworks were created over several weeks through a process of designing, enlarging, multi-layer stencil cutting, spray painting and hand drawn posca pen fine detailing. A fantastic effort!!! I am already looking forward to what comes out of the upcoming Term 2 workshops!!!

12.01.2022 I love this artwork created by the Foundation students at Nazareth School in Grovedale. They each created a 'thumbprint portrait' which now hangs in our school foyer. I'm sure they will love looking back on this in years to come!

12.01.2022 A quick sketch from this day exactly one year ago. Sitting on Beer Beach in south Devon, England

11.01.2022 A speedy little right hander!

11.01.2022 I recently completed this new artwork which is based on a sketch i drew in 1996!!!! The quote, "A pipe gives a wise man time to think, and a fool something to put in his mouth", is by C S Lewis. Of course, the saying has little to do with actually smoking a pipe, but holds deeper metaphorical meaning. I'll leave that for you to ponder for yourself!

10.01.2022 Some of our talented students have been busy at Nazareth School in Grovedale painting a Tuscan inspired landscape on a wall in our new chook enclosure. They have done an amazing job, The chooks are going to love it!!! Check out how it all came together in the link below!

10.01.2022 A bit of mucking around with a box of old spray cans.

06.01.2022 Monument, Acrylic on Canvas, 2020 I usually produce several series of artworks simultaneously that are of completely different styles and themes. This is a new one from the far corners of my art studio and more surreal part of my head! Here, a solitary figure contemplates a biomorphic transmutation in an animated surrealist landscape.

05.01.2022 LOST PROPERTY!!! I am very fortunate to work with an amazing bunch of students. This term we found some very talented musicians, put them together and created an awesome rock band called 'LOST PROPERTY'. Early days yet but as we all know, it's a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll!!! Check out the progress so far. To be continued...

04.01.2022 ST CATHERINE OF SIENA CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL STOP MOTION MOVIES! 04.01.2022 'Hedgehog', Cam Plapp, 1980, Leather and Felt on Hessian. I found this in an old box of fun things. As far as I know, this is possibly my oldest piece of artwork I have. I did it (with assistance!) when I was in Prep at Bellerive Primary School, Tasmania. I vaguely remember making it!!! I think I might frame it and hang it up in my art studio!!!

02.01.2022 A busy afternoon getting my veggie boxes ready for summer and repainting my 'Campbell's Soup' water tank!! A productive day!!!
