Harfusa is a washing station that collects, pulps and dries the coffee on behalf of over 500 smallholder farmers from the surrounding area. Since being established in 2013 by Ato Kumulachew, it has been a quality centric operation with a ...reputation for paying high prices to their producers for their best red cherries. The station itself employs over 400 people during harvest to ensure there are no delays in the washing and drying process, something that could impact the final quality. Curated by respected Arrernte and Kalkadoon curator, writer, advisor and presenter Hetti Perkins and leading Wiradjuri and Kamilaroi artist Jonathan Jones, SOUTHEAST celebrates the creative diversity of south-east Australian Aboriginal art. Due to restrictions, this year in place of a physical market Carriageworks will p...resent an online retail platform bringing together 26 independent Aboriginal artists and collectives from south-east regions of Australia.
