22.01.2022 The Japanese space craft Hayabusa2 (2) is nearing home! After traveling more tha 5 billion kilometres, the JAXA launched experimental space ship is on her final approach. At the time of this post it is only 2,097,062km from Earth. Sent to gather information from a near earth asteroid in 2014 it has nearly completed its 6 year mission. It will re enter earth’s atmosphere in the early hours of the morning on the 6th of December 2020. With little light pollution, Riba’s will be the perfect place to stay and observe this wonderful event! 20.01.2022 Riba's world renowned Opal Mine Tour is back! Coober Pedy's only evening Opal Mine Tour is taking bookings now for the 2020 season. Follow our award winning guide as he takes you underground and explains the opal mining game from a miners perspective. Tours leave every evening at 7pm. $26 per adult and $15 per child. 18.01.2022 Hi guys, We hope the COVID-19 restrictions didn’t cause you too much stress. It looks like we are slowly emerging from the other side of the crisis which is great news! Never to look a gift horse in the mouth, we took full advantage of the isolation by completing some much needed maintenance. From painting the toilet and shower blocks with a new colour scheme to fixing new shade cloth and putting new gravel down. We’ve been busy and we’re looking forward to welcoming you back! As of this Friday the 5th of June 2020, Riba’s will be reopening our doors to welcome you back. See you soon

It's been a hectic week for us with Laurence from CBC in Canada interviewing Ariane, Alex from Atmos magazine in New York doing a photo shoot with our family and finishing up with a great little write up in the "Great Australian Outdoors" magazine. Time to put our feet up and have a beer. Good job legends!
