22.01.2022 Whilst Can Assist is well regarded across NSW for the assistance it provides it is also synonymous for community. Arrangements for the charities first fundrai...ser function was made at their second meeting in November 1956. It was a ‘Games Night’ and considered a great success raising about 90 pounds. Following this there were morning teas, fashion parades, balls at the Trocadero Club and a variety of other functions. 65 years on and our volunteers and supporters continue to arrange hundreds of events from golf days, film nights, garden openings to ‘Bling it on Balls’. All the money raised through these events stays within the communities it is raised in to help those local. We look forward to resuming our fundraising activities. Not only do our events raise money to help but they create connectivity among people, supporting the ideals of the charity. www.canassist.org.au

09.01.2022 Can Assist has 55 branches across rural New South Wales and is celebrating its 65th year this year. Our biggest point of difference is that when a Can Assist br...anch asks for a donation, or hosts a fundraising event, you can be assured that 100% of the money raised will stay in that town to support local cancer patients. 03.01.2022 We are very happy to be supporting people with cancer in partnership with Deniliquin CanAssist. Having a car to get to treatment is an absolute must in a rural area, especially with COVID-19 limiting access to public and patient transport.
