20.01.2022 It's Lung Cancer Awareness Month this month, so we're putting the spotlight on Philip Hansbro and Kurtis Budden's groundbreaking research into lung cancer. Did ...you know that the bacteria in your gut affects your risk of lung disease, colon cancer, liver cancer and pancreatic cancer? This is why Philip and Kurtis are looking for links between gut health and lung cancer. They're hoping that one day, prebiotics, probiotics, antibiotics and faecal microbiome transfers (poo transplants for short) could be a part of treating lung cancer. 13.01.2022 The formation of the Cancer Patients Assistance Society of New South Wales (Can Assist) was the dream of Mrs Mona Campbell Ham, MBE. Her determination, charm ...and organising ability together with a small group of equally able friends established this charitable organisation. Over the next 65 years, we have continued to grow with the solid support of many men and women across the state providing selfless time and effort to assist in the ongoing realisation of Mona's dream.
