17.01.2022 Whilst Can Assist is well regarded across NSW for the assistance it provides it is also synonymous for community. Arrangements for the charities first fundrai...ser function was made at their second meeting in November 1956. It was a ‘Games Night’ and considered a great success raising about 90 pounds. Following this there were morning teas, fashion parades, balls at the Trocadero Club and a variety of other functions. 65 years on and our volunteers and supporters continue to arrange hundreds of events from golf days, film nights, garden openings to ‘Bling it on Balls’. All the money raised through these events stays within the communities it is raised in to help those local. We look forward to resuming our fundraising activities. Not only do our events raise money to help but they create connectivity among people, supporting the ideals of the charity. www.canassist.org.au
