24.01.2022 I’m sure we’re not the only ones looking for a netball fix. Check out Sue Gaudion on Facebook. Nightly interviews at 8pm with well known names in the world of netball. Past interviews can be watched on the page. This week is focused on New Zealand past players and coaches. They’re a lot of fun and so entertaining and a great insight from some of the greats of the sport we all love https://www.facebook.com/GordysGasbags/

20.01.2022 While for most it’s the end of the strangest netball season EVER, we’re all looking forward to our carnival in Adelaide in 2021 and instead of elbow bumps, hugging it out at the friendliest netball carnival out there. It’s never too early to start planning. #marlestonnetball #southaustralia #ilovenetball #cananetball

20.01.2022 We’d love to see some of your carnival photos. Some may even have some old ones tucked away somewhere we may not be able to play at the moment, but covid-19 can’t take away our memories.

14.01.2022 Covid-19. We’re sure you’re all feeling the affects of this dreadful situation that is unfolding daily. When things get tough in our lives we can usually really on our netball. The board held their usual meeting today and would like to let you all know that we are monitoring the situation but are proceeding with the organisation of this years carnival in Adelaide. During this meeting we have decided to include our end of carnival function as part of your registration fee. We suspect that by the time September comes around we’ll be busting to play all the netball we can! Please stay safe everyone and hope this great country we live in can survive the storm. #netballislife #cananetball

12.01.2022 Time is ticking until our next carnival in Adelaide

11.01.2022 For our Townsville family, please share

08.01.2022 2020. Well it’s not been the best of years! We hope that you’re all coping and staying safe in this strange new world we live in and also hope that you’re able to get some netball back into your lives. Although we are sad we will not be enjoying our carnival this year, we have already begun work on next year. Just a little bump in the road and we’ll be back bigger and stronger in 2021

05.01.2022 Our Cana family and members are always foremost in our decision making and it is with sadness that we must provide you with the following information and decision made this morning at our board meeting regarding the 2020 carnival.........however we are contemplating the possibility of having a mini weekend carnival within our own states towards the end of the year! Please read the following statement: Due to the current impact of the COVID-19 virus in Australia, and the ...unknown restrictions being implemented on all Australians, both now and into the future, a motion was moved and carried by the Cana board that the 2020 CANA Championships be deferred and re- convened in September/October 2021 at Marleston, South Australia. This decision is based upon the following concerns, namely: Unknown when travel restrictions will cease Unknown when isolation restrictions will cease Possible impact for teams to prepare for championship Selections unknown when training can commence Travel cost? Availability for carriers (Virgin/Qantas/ Jetstar) Accommodation Availability cost Time to prepare to travel uniform ordering, etc Query whether parents will want children to travel or participate Risk of infection??? (Possible) Availability of players/coaches/umpires for selection Risk of cancellation at a later date cancellation costs incurred by travelling teams/host association Too many unknown risk factors at this time to recommend proceeding competition in September/October Current national principles for the resumption of sport and recreation activities recommend for the foreseeable future sport should be in a spectator-free environment. Community sport could be limited to those present to the minimum required to support the participants (e.g. one parent or carer per child if necessary)

03.01.2022 Thank you all for the awesome photos. Memories are the next best thing at the moment, gives us something to look forward to. We are optimists and it’s not over until it’s over so keep thinking about our next carnival and cross everything you’ve got that we see each other this year xo
