23.01.2022 Melbourne Tour 2020 Day 1

23.01.2022 Subject: Day Eight (Part One) After a two hour drive through some spectacular Scottish country side on the A74 we arrived at Gretna Green and the boys took advantage of the short stop to buy their last souvenirs of their visit to Scotland. As I wrote on the day six blog Gretna Green has much history and again I can report that all the boys are still single ha ha.... At the completion of some photo opportunities we set off on our way Bolton where the boys had lunch and visited the famous Bolton Wanderers FC nicknamed the Trotters The time was getting away from us and we had to get away for the 40 minute trip to Manchester and check into our Central Manchester Hotel before dinner and the eagerly awaited European Champions League match at the Etihad the Home of Manchester City. 23.01.2022 We are the Albion were top of the league the supporters sang as WBA ran out comfortable winners 4-1 over Bristol City

22.01.2022 It was an early start this morning with breakfast at 6.30 and on the bus by 7.30 to go to the famous Bisham Abbey. Henry the VIII and Elizabeth I were residents of Bisham Abbey. The location was and still is key. It is situated between Buckinghamshire and Berkshire on the River Thames. Walking through the Abbey is liking going back in time. It is a visit that should not be missed.... Bisham Abbey is a National Sport Centre. The facilities are second to none and Britains elite sports men and women use the complex. The training facilities are also accessible to the community. Our players were exposed to World class facilities which they will remember for a long time to come. 21.01.2022 Great Barrier Reef Road Trip

19.01.2022 Player profile : Marko ROMERO What are the highlights of the tour so far: The Bolton Wanderers vsAccrington Stanley game What am I looking forward to for the rest of the tournament: ... Playing against Scotland and Arsenal but I am looking forward to the Champions League game between Manchester City and Shaktar Donestsk. I must admit I think that the entire tour has been a highlight. What can I improve upon: I need to be more confident on attacking the ball and winning headers. As a central defender I need to further enhance my range of passing skills. I need to know when to Pass short and when to pass long. How do I rate/compare myself to the players I have played against: The players that we have played against (centre backs) are more confident and bigger but Joe Fenech has told me that I am giving these players a two year advantage and that if I continue to work hard I will be at least as good as they are.

19.01.2022 Subject: Day Nine UK Tour A half day at St Georges Park the training facility for all the England Football squads. The boys were given the VIP tour of the world class facility and then treated to a training session from one of the England Youth coaches.... The session was structured, high in intensity very tactical and certainly tested the boys technically. Most importantly it was a lot of fun. One of the 17 football pitches is a replica of Wembley in dimensions and mirrors the Wembley surface to a tee. To the extent that the field maintenance equipment is only used in the two facilities. The indoor facility is magnificent and the surface (G3) is so grass like that it was difficult to tell the difference. Injury prevention and rehabilitation facility are second to none. So much so that Barcelona and Lionel Messi frequent the facility. Futsal is a big part of the FAs curriculum and all national players use the futsal arena as part of their training regime The dressing rooms are a replica of those at Wembley to ensure that players are building habits at training as if they are at a game. That is how intricate preparations are at the England national level. The boys were made feel very special by being allocated a dressing room specifically for the team. As if the excitement of visiting St Georges Park was not enough, the players were informed that after dinner at the Holiday Inn Birmingham where we stayed the night They were being taken to a Championship match at The Hawthorns the home of West Bromwich Albion, the Baggies as they are known. WBA are top of the Championship and they played Bristol City in what was a cracker of a game.

16.01.2022 Day Seven UK Tour Another action packed day in Scotland started off with a training session with John Cooper a Scotland National Youth coach. The boys very much enjoyed the session and they will be all the better after a fun filled training lesson. It was then off to Edinburgh city for some free time and sight seeing.... At three in the afternoon we departed Edinburgh bound for Falkirk the home of the famous Kelpies at Helix Park. It was then time to head to the Falkirk Stadium for our match against Falkirk. The players were awestruck when they arrived and saw the stadium. Not many players get to play in a premier stadium which has hosted premier league games and European teams in the Europa League. After a very good warm up and team talk the boys were buzzing and it showed during the game. We played the best football on the tour and every player understood the team tasks and individual roles. The passing of the ball was fast and accurate and with a real purpose. At times the team played as if they had known each other for years. It was pleasing that talent scouts commended the team for their collective approach to the game. Regards, Joe Fenech 0409-472-002 No problems, only solutions

15.01.2022 Player Profile : Brandon Mcrorie What is the highlight of the tour thus far: It would be playing all the games and experiencing what it would be like playing in a academy at a high level What am I looking forward to for the rest of the tour??... Playing against Scotland and and comparing my level of play to others from different countries in a high level What could I have improved on?? Playing stronger on the ball and getting back into play and running after the ball when we lose it How do I compare to the other players and teams?? I think that I would rate myself above average because I feel like when playing I do most of the things correctly for the position Im in there might just be a few minor things to improve on.

14.01.2022 Melbourne 2020 Tour

14.01.2022 The boys were excited about the trip to London and the two hour drive from Stratford upon Avon was initially a straightforward drive down the M5 until we got to the outskirts of London. The boys asking , Are we there yet They could not understand how one could drive 100 km in an hour and a little yet the last 8 Km takes 45 minutes. Welcome to London! Once the bus pulled up at the Royal National Hotel in Russell Square they were allocated their rooms and duly briefed about t...he expected behaviour. At 4.45 we all gathered in the Hotel Lobby and set off on a three minute walk to the underground Station headed for the Emirates the home of Arsenal. The Tube is an experience every visitor to London should experience. The long awaited mini tournament against Arsenal at the Arsenal Hub next door to the Emirates was an activity that the boys enjoyed immensely. In the photo you will see the Emirates and Highbury the Arsenal old stadium
