22.01.2022 Sisters of Charity Foundation Award a $15,000 Grant to Can Assist Cootamundra - Combating the Impact of COVID-19 on Fundraising Income. After more than 180 ye...ars in Australia, the Sisters of Charity continue in their work of restoring hope and providing meaningful assistance to those in need. Through Can Assist, the Sisters will be helping those families in Cootamundra and surrounding towns who are experiencing financial barriers to cancer treatment. Without Can Assist many people would face overwhelming bills that they could not afford. Di Jamieson, current recipient, Cootamundra. "This grant will go straight back into the community and to those who need it. Eva Larson, McGrath Breast Care Nurse, Young Health Service. 16.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we cancel our Melbourne Cup Event this year. We have lost a significant Committee member. We wish to thank all of those in the community who have donated and gifted to the fundraiser and if you are willing these items can be held over for an event in the New Year. If you have booked tables then you should see this money refunded quickly. Please contact us immediately if there are any problems. Please remember that this was an event to raise money for those suffering from cancer and hence we would welcome any donations. Take care of yourself and your friends.xx

13.01.2022 Can Assist has 55 branches across rural New South Wales and is celebrating its 65th year this year. Our biggest point of difference is that when a Can Assist br...anch asks for a donation, or hosts a fundraising event, you can be assured that 100% of the money raised will stay in that town to support local cancer patients.
