25.01.2022 Can Assist Merriwa is proud to announce a $10,000 grant from the State Government which we accepted just yesterday from Mr Michael Johnsen MP - Nationals Member for Upper Hunter. Whilst COVID-19 continues to restrict our ability to run traditional fundraising events, this seed funding will allow us to commence assistance. We remain optimistic that additional branches across the Upper Hunter will open in the future, in the meantime our primary concern for assistance will cover... residents of Merriwa, Cassilis and Sandy Hollow. Thank you again for your part in this grant. Can Assist Merriwa and our other existing 55 branches look forward to providing continued financial assistance to cancer patients throughout country NSW as we continue our quest to close the city - country equity gap in treatment costs. Merriwa branch contact details can be found on the Can Assist website. We expect the phone number to change within a few days when we have secured a mobile. In the meantime please phone 1300 226 277 https://www.canassist.com.au
