23.01.2022 ukulele family. Caroline ordered a Kala KA-SMHT-SC Scallop Tenor Solid Mahogany from our family business here in Australia. Just did the pre-shipping Set-Up an...d thought I’d make a super quick demo of this really sweet sounding Kala KA-SMHT-SC Scallop Tenor in Solid Mahogany. It’s actually got a lot more ZING to its tone than I’d thought it would. I think the scalloping and the added woodblock for it has really stiffened that top to add a bigger brighter top-end tone than you would usually expect from a solid mahogany instrument. Strung with Italian Aquila AQ10U high g strings this baby really has some cut-through. If you wanted to tone it down add a low g string or specify you want Worth Strings for the setup.
