06.01.2022 "Its quieter in the snow!" Heres a way to justify your next trip to the snow according to our Practice Manager, Lisa who has just returned from a snowy holiday in Hokkaido, Japan. It appears the reason for this calming silence is that the characteristics of snow play a big role in how sound can travel. When light, fluffy snow accumulates on the ground, it acts as a sound absorber, dampening sound waves much like commercial sound absorbing products.
