20.01.2022 Partial mash brewing is an excellent compromise between the simplicity of extract brewing, and the variety of all-grain. You can push your kit beers to the next level using this method without investing in extra brewing hardware and many award-winning beers have been produced using the method. We'll be working on an education session to demonstrate partial mashing so watch this space!

18.01.2022 See the tree, how big it's grown..... In August 2017 the Canberra Brewers agreed to philanthropically sponsor a tree in the John James Village sensory garden in Garran. The John James Village was funded by John James Foundation (https://www.jjf.org.au/) and is operated by Leukaemia Foundation Australia to provide free respite accommodation and support services for patients and their families, whilst undergoing lifesaving treatment for blood cancers at nearby Canberra Hospita...l. In the current environment we have been given the opportunity to reflect on what is important in life. Please take a moment to view the reflective Then and Now images, highlighting the positive impact the Canberra Brewers make on vulnerable families temporarily residing at the Village. Our support is greatly appreciated and our Brewers Tree looks Amazing!!

06.01.2022 Brewers, The committee has decided that, in the interest of public safety, we are postponing the monthly meetings until further notice due to Covid-19. We're brainstorming ways to reach out to our community while we're in isolation, particularly since many brewers will have some extra brewdays on the horizon. Silver linings and all that.... Keep an eye on www.health.act.gov.au for the latest advice and guidance. Stay safe, wash your hands, feel free to panic buy some Tooheys Extra Dry in case you need to distill something for brewing sanitizer. MTB
