21.01.2022 Kate and Helen who have been with CCV since the very beginning are undertaking their next amazing journey as they move to the beautiful home they have purchased in Tasmania. They came in with their two beautiful Burmese cats Oscar Wilde Thing and Miss Molly to have afternoon tea with us and let us say goodbye. We are going to miss them all terribly but we wish them the very very best for the future. <3
19.01.2022 Sweet kitten Saturn is recovering well following exploratory surgery, where Dr Kate discovered that he had ingested a piece of string! Plenty of nurse cuddles from Alissia has sped his recovery and he was sent home this morning, much to his Mum's relief. <3
18.01.2022 Time for a little bit of fun! Which is your favorite cat type? Which cat will come out on top? Which coat colour is the most aesthetically popular? Vote below using the react buttons and see what Canberra thinks! It doesnt have to be the type of cat you have at home, (we wont tell!!) (we had to like it or Annie would get mad)
18.01.2022 With Easter coming up this is your annual reminder that Lillies are TOXIC to our cats. Lillies are a popular Easter gift, but if your cat ingests any part of the lily, they are in serious danger. So what should you do? -throw away any lillies that could be given to you, and ask family and friends to not give them to you. ... - Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling your cats. -If you suspect that your cat has lily toxicity, they should see a vet ASAP. 12.01.2022 *HOME NEEDED* Hi I’m Princess. A very loving and affectionate tabby cat with the biggest green eyes. I am 8.5 years old, desexed and have had all my vaccinations. I was adopted from the RSPCA as a kitten. I am toilet trained and well behaved. My human parents broke up and live in an apartment and a rental house now where pets are not allowed so they are looking for a new home for me. I have feline leukemia virus (FeLV) so cannot be with other cats but the virus has not affect...ed me and I am happy and healthy. FeLV is not dangerous to humans or other animals (apart from other cats). I am very shy, quiet and risk adverse so would prefer a quiet home without young children. I have just been living very happily with my Mum’s sister, a 10 year old boy and a 0-12 month old Pug. And I was the boss. I make a great companion. I will follow my owners everywhere, talk to them, walk them to the shower in the morning and then to get ready for work, and then to the front door. I will try to groom your hair when you sit on the couch, walk on your laptop if you are trying to work or any papers you are trying to read and I will sleep on you in winter time. I will follow you and sit with you when you go to hang out the washing. I love to be brushed, be baby talked to and made a fuss of. Reluctant rehoming. Contribution towards my living costs and vet bills offered to the right home. References required. Trial period and transport to you available. Any enquiries please contact my Mum Anita 0432 622 548 See more

07.01.2022 Kevin flaunting her anti hunting collar at his check up today. These are available at https://www.birdsbesafe.com/ The bright colors alert the birds the cats presence much quicker than a bell, allowing the birds to fly away and escape. These collars are specially designed to be comfort fitting and safe, with breakaway feature to prevent it catching on anything that could cause a choking a hazard. They are also amazingly fashionable! <3

05.01.2022 Did you know in just a matter of hours, an ingested button battery can cause serious internal burns and bleeding? Keep a close eye on your kids this festive sea...son - lots of Christmas decorations and gifts contain this potentially dangerous product. If there is any possibility your child has swallowed a button battery, don’t wait, seek urgent medical advice. Some signs to look out for are: Coughing or breathing heavily Chest pain or grunting Choking or gagging Vomiting Bleeding (black or red vomit/bowel motions) In an Emergency, always call Triple Zero (000). This video shows the impact a button battery can have once ingested.
