25.01.2022 "The blackmailable nature of Joe Biden... will expose him to be used unscrupulously, allowing illegitimate powers to interfere in both domestic politics as well as international balances. It is obvious that those who manipulate him already have someone worse than him ready, with whom they will replace him as soon as the opportunity arises."

If she is confirmed, Justice Barrett will inevitably face an Esther-decision on the highest level, of whether she will save her life through political expediency, or risk everything to break the spirit of Haman off this nation." ~ Lou Engle

We are a great people, and we have overcome many dark chapters to forge a national identity that is the envy of the world. We are stronger together and that’s worth celebrating. #HappyAustraliaDay!"

19.01.2022 JUST TURNED 16, SAMUEL’S TESTIMONY Hi, my name is Samuel. I am 16 years old and one of six siblings, right in the middle with 3 older sisters and two younge...r brothers. We were all born here in Perth. Growing up was a bit tough, when I was 4 years old my younger brother Daniel had stage 4 neuroblastoma cancer. At this time mum and dad were going through a divorce and dad also found his new drug addiction. Dad was barely around growing up and mum tried her very best to raise all six of us kids by herself. She did well to ensure we all went to private schools and managed her own business at the same time. Then when I was about 12 all my sisters left home, Mum’s business started to die down and unfortunately mum was forced to move me and my younger brothers to a public school and move to a different house because of financial stress. I was now in year 7 and found it especially hard fitting in with my peers and struggled academically. I also found myself hanging out with a few students that would casually skip class, these were supposedly the Cool Kids. I continued to hang out with the cool kids that were skipping class and eventually towards the end of year 8 one of them offered me marijuana while we were wagging school. He said it would be fine, Its not going to hurt anyone, so I listened to him and that planted the first bad seed in my heart. From that day on my attitude had changed for the worse, I began to get into trouble at school and my grades were affected. At the time my mum was getting engaged to her new partner and we ended up moving into his home. Mum decided that since we were living in a new home and there was a school near us, that it would be a good idea for me to have a fresh start in a new school and restart year 9. I liked the idea and wanted a change, so I agreed. So, I started and my new school but soon found that I was struggling academically again and I began to gravitate to the cool kids again, skipping school and smoking weed. But by now I was attending parties which involved underage drinking and smoking. I had a fear of missing out and not being accepted so I gave into peer pressure and began to drink, smoke and sneak out at night to hang out with the other kids. By the end of year 9 I was kicked out of home as my behaviour was setting a bad example for my younger brothers and I had a bad attitude towards my mum. I was living with a few different mates, couch surfing, until I got in contact with my dad and explained the situation to him. He offered to take me in and help me to try to finish my year 10 at a school close to him. I was doing well for the first month but then I was getting up to my old tricks again. I returned to old ways as they were comfortable and familiar to me, I was staying out till late or not even coming home some nights. I treated my dad’s home like a holiday house, and he had no idea what to do with me. He told my mum she could have me back and then kicked me out, this did not help my fear of rejection. On the 29th of May, the night before I came to Shalom Discipleship House, I attended a party with a guy I had only met that night. We stole two bikes after the party and we both broke into a house which we robbed and later did a taxi run, ending up in the middle of nowhere. I phoned my elder sister the next morning around 4am and explained the situation, confessing what I had done. She then came to pick me up and drove me to my mums, but she said that I couldn’t stay, and I made the call to Shalom. I was at rock bottom and I realised that I wanted to change, I knew deep down that if I didn’t change my life then and there that things would just get progressively worse. So, I made the phone call to Pete and was accepted into the program on the 30th of May 2020. Since that day I have reached stage 2 in the program, I am 7 weeks away from finishing year 10 and beginning my electrical apprenticeship through Shalom. I have been able to save up almost $2000 and been reconciled with my family. I would like to thank Pete and Amanda for taking me into the program and helping me to change and restore my family from the damage I inflicted through my actions. What an awesome testimony of a life changed and lessons learnt at such a very young age. Please feel free to say a few words to encourage Samuel. Shalom House is, Restoring the Lives of Men, Women & Families in our Community

18.01.2022 "Postmodernism of course grew out of, and was a reaction to, modernism. This earlier stance is also problematic for the Christian. Modernism got some things right (truth exists, is objective, etc) but it got things quite wrong (man is the sole arbiter of truth, and no outside revelation is needed)." ~ Bill Muehlenberg CultureWatch

16.01.2022 "Until the end of World War II, legalised #abortion was limited to Russia and countries controlled by the U.S.S.R. Then Sweden and Japan followed suit. In the 1960s and 70s, many European democracies passed similar laws. In 1973, the Supreme Court imposed abortion on the United States. Today, the World Health Organization estimates there are 50 million abortions a year worldwide." #Communism #history

16.01.2022 101 years old, Sergeant Bert Le-Merton has walked over 107km to raise over $86,000 so far for veteran support charity Soldier On. What an absolute legend! I sp...oke to Bert earlier this week to congratulate him on his amazing efforts and also to wish him a happy 102nd birthday for next Wednesday. Bert, who lives in Western Sydney, served for Australia in North Africa and the Pacific during the Second World War. He wanted to help the younger generation of veterans because he’d seen how some of them had struggled to adapt back to life after service. On Victory in Pacific Day in August this year he set himself the challenge of walking the length of the Kokoda Track (96km) to raise money for Soldier On. He did this by walking around the block every day with his walker. Initially he hoped to raise $10,000 but he quickly smashed that target. How good would it be if he could smash his next target of raising $102,000 before his 102nd birthday on Wednesday. He’s had to pause his walking for a bit while he recovers from a leg injury but hopes to be back at it again soon and we wish him a speedy recovery. If you’d like to donate to help Bert reach his target and support our veterans visit: https://fundraise.soldieron.org.au/marchonwithbert

12.01.2022 'At the last Census, in 2016, I was really concerned that I had to go to the other religion box to mark myself as a Christian. I didn’t want to put myself in other religion, so I put myself under Catholic, even though I’m not a Catholic. How many other people did what I did? Just for the sake of filling out a form selected one of the six Christian denominations presented, rather than going over the page to be statistically counted as other religion. No wonder they say Christianity is diminishing and other religion is growing!' #auspol

12.01.2022 "Discrimination against males is currently commonplace in government agencies and with federal tax recipients. Recent decades have turned men into an underclass who are virtually shut out of federal services, such as DOJ-funded domestic violence (DV) programs. ... He's also been photographing the animals on bikes paddock sculptures along Banjo Paterson Way around Cumnock and Yeoval, showing them before and after the rain. Mr Beh says he's planning to use the paddock sculpture photos on postcards as a local fundraising project.
