16.01.2022 Canberra International's first Field & Game shoot for 2021 was well attended with 10 squads taking to the field for a handicap event over two layouts. 09.01.2022 Canberra International and Majura Park are working together to maintain the same COVID plan and to fall in line with SSAA, the ACT and NSW requirements. The new direction allows Canberra members to travel more without facing restrictions at their own clubs. Here is the latest update. It’s a bit to wrap your head around so please bear with us: The previous restriction that if you have been to any area within a listed Local Government Area (LGA) you could not attend your club... for 14 days is replaced with the following: 1. If you have attended a Gun Club or shooting event in an LGA in which there is increased testing, provided they have implemented a COVID-19 plan, you can attend events at Canberra International and Majura Park. 2. If you live in a listed LGA where there is increased testing do not attend Canberra International or Majura Park. Follow the guidance of the ACT and NSW Governments. 3. If you have symptoms of COVID-19, do not attend Canberra International or Majura Park. LGAs where there is increased testing can be found here https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/latest-news-and-updates... If you are unsure about your LGA, please jump on that NSW website, type in your address and it will tell you what LGA you live in. Spatial limitations and social distancing requirements remain in place. All visitors to Canberra International and Majura Park must sign in at the range and must include their contact details. By signing in this acts as your shooter’s disclaimer that you do not live in a listed LGA and do not have any symptoms of COVID-19. We ask all patrons, visitors and shooters to continue to use their judgement, if your attendance at any point becomes questionable, please reconsider. We do not need one poor judgement to jeopardize the operations of either club or our sport. Thank you all for your continued support and patience during these trying times. We’ll see you out at the range!
