15.01.2022 Cockington Green Gardens is a park of miniatures. Miniature villages, people, cars, trains and even a miniature cricket field with a game happening! This family business has been operating for over 40 years and has welcomed many school groups in that time. Our favourite part is the international area where you can see iconic buildings from all over the world some which took more than 3,000 hours to make! Don’t miss taking a ride on the miniature steam train. We are looking forward to visiting Cockington Green again soon and welcoming guests to Canberra Park. Stay safe everyone. @cockingtongreen #canberra #visitcanberra #schoolexcursion #tourism

12.01.2022 Many of our school groups visit Old Parliament House. Did you know this building, now the Museum of Australian Democracy, was constructed from clay bricks made in Canberra? You can make this heritage listed building and other Canberra landmarks, from your Lego collection. Find the instructions on the nca.gov.au website, bring out your Lego and start building! Look forward to welcoming you to Canberra Park soon, until then stay safe everyone. #legocanberra #nationalcapitalauthority #canberra #oldparliamenthouse #lego @legomastersau @brickmanexhibitions @canberralug

09.01.2022 Checkout this post from our friend’s Mulligans Flat Woodland Sanctuary

09.01.2022 Mulligans Flat Sanctuary is a neighbour of Canberra Park. It provides a safe haven for reintroduced species. Some of these animals are the Eastern Bettong, the Eastern Quoll and the New Holland Mouse. Recently Mulligans Flat celebrated the arrival of Pink-eared ducklings. Some Canberra Park guests have been lucky enough to be introduced to these special species. Ask our team about this opportunity on your next stay with us. Stay safe everyone. 09.01.2022 Did you know Canberra Park has a veggie garden? At the moment it’s filled with pumpkins. Pumpkins are perfect for soup. Our Chef uses this recipe when making soup for our guests. Kids will need adult help with this one. You will need 1.2 kilos of pumpkin peeled and cut into 3cm chunks, 1 onion peeled and sliced, 2 garlic cloves peeled, 3 cups of chicken stock, 1 cup of water, ... salt and pepper and half a cup of cream. Place the pumpkin, onion, garlic, broth and water in a pot and bring to the boil, uncovered then reduce the heat and let it simmer and the pumpkin is soft. Remove the heat and use a stick blender to blend until smooth. Season with salt and pepper and stir in cream. Serve with crusty bread! #pumpkin #canberra #soup #homemade #growingvegetables See more
