21.01.2022 Hello Everyone. Hope you’re all keeping safe and warm. A fellow contact had asked for any leads/lobang on companies you’d recommend to forward goods to Singapore and vice versa, on a regular basis. ... Apart from Auspost and Singpost, are there any other reliable ones whom you’d used before and would recommend?

20.01.2022 Dear Friends, Please remember to register in order to access this virtual event. https://facebook.com/events/s/national-day-party-down-under/1961472063989419/?ti=icl

20.01.2022 #BREAKING: There are three new COVID-19 cases in the ACT. The three cases, confirmed in the last 24 hours, are linked to the Melbourne outbreak. They were at:... Fyshwick Markets on Saturday July 4 between 3pm and 4pm. Westfield Belconnen on Monday July 6 between 12 and 12:30pm. Anyone who is showing symptoms and believe they were at risk of exposure should get tested and then self-isolate. The cases are all from the same household and have been in self-isolation since they were tested. They are the first cases in the ACT in over a month. Meanwhile, anyone who has returned from Melbourne and is showing symptoms should get tested. It means the stage three changes, due midday Friday, will be postponed. 18.01.2022 Happy Lunar New Year! We know this year is the year of the Ox. But don’t have the bullheaded belief that COVID-19 takes holidays. The Lunar New Year is t...raditionally one of the busiest times for international travel to and from Australia. A time when people can get together. This year, we know there are a lot of people who won't be able to visit friends and family. But this doesn't mean you can't stay connected. Keep local gatherings small and make sure you practice good COVID-19 hygiene. There are many creative ways to stay connected: Write a letter or postcard to a friend or family member Set up a virtual lunch or dinner Virtual karaoke anyone? Take a virtual dumpling-making class Zoom your friends and family and stage a dragon and lion dance competition.

17.01.2022 FYI for those of you who are eligible.

17.01.2022 Enjoy the performance, Folks!

15.01.2022 UPDATE ON STAGE 3 EASING OF COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS (23 July 2020) Following a ‘COVID Safe check point’ and advice from the ACT Chief Health Officer, Dr Ker...ryn Coleman, the ACT will not move forward with the implementation of Stage 3 restrictions in the ACT for a further two weeks. No new changes outlined in Stage 3 of Canberra's Recovery Plan will proceed tomorrow, Friday 24 July 2020. We will remain in Step 2.2. So far, the ACT community has done an outstanding job in responding to the threat of COVID-19. It has allowed the Territory to carefully ease restrictions over the past few months without putting a strain on our health system. We all know what the impact of going backwards would be on our economy, and with new cases being confirmed everyday across NSW, we need to be cautious. Please continue to play your role in stopping the spread of COVID-19, remember to: Avoid large crowds. Keep 1.5 metres apart from others you don’t know, whenever possible. Continue good hand and respiratory hygiene. Stay home if you are unwell and get tested if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. More information at www.covid19.act.gov.au

11.01.2022 Everything I Am is the theme song for NDP 2020. While 2020 has been a challenging year for Singapore, we have seen many Singaporeans rallying around and help...ing one another through difficult times. The NDP 2020 theme song, Everything I Am, includes themes of family, togetherness, kindness, and gratitude. The music video features scenes inspired by stories of everyday Singaporeans, and reminds us to be appreciative of each other and the communities that support us. Music & Lyrics Composed by Joshua Wan Produced & Arranged by Sydney Tan / Joshua Wan Performed by Nathan Hartono Directed by He Shuming Lyrics: I want you to understand Because of you, I am who I am Because of who you are I can be Everything I am Show me how I should be strong Teach me that I can be weak Because of who you are I can find anything I seek And In each other, there will be The colours of your tapestry Colours you’ve never seen Here's to my home, to my homeland To every shining crystal in the sand Because of who you are I can be everything I am Here's to you, to my homeland I hold this precious jewel in my hand Because of who you are I can be everything I am Teacher teach me to be kind Quick to embrace And slow to close my mind If we reach that star We'll have the universe in time And In each other, there will be The fabric of our destiny It's more than you and me Here's to my home, to my homeland A sea of shining crystals in the sand Because of who you are I can be everything I am Here's to you, Singapore (homeland) Here's to my people I could want nothing more Here's to you, Singapore (homeland) We hold this precious jewel in our hands Because of who you are Because of who you are I can be everything I am Follow us on: www.ndp.gov.sg www.facebook.com/ndpeeps www.instagram.com/ndpeeps www.youtube.com/ndpeeps

11.01.2022 ACT COVID-19 update (8 July 2020) There have been 3 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in the ACT in the past 24 hours. This brings the ACT’s total to 111. The thre...e individuals are one female and two males aged in their 20s. Two of the individuals arrived in the ACT from a Melbourne hotspot on Thursday 2 July 2020 and the other is a household contact. A small number of close contacts have been identified and are being managed in accordance with the National Guidelines. Prior to being tested, the three individuals had visited the Fyshwick Markets on Saturday 4 July between 3pm and 4pm and Westfield Belconnen on Monday 6 July between 12pm and 12:30pm. ACT Chief Health Officer Dr Kerryn Coleman said the risk to the broader community was low, however anyone who attended these locations during these times should be vigilant and monitor themselves for symptoms. We are confident the risk to the broader ACT community is low, Dr Coleman said. However this is a very important reminder of the ongoing pandemic and the risk posed by the outbreak currently evolving in Melbourne. Anyone who has been in Melbourne in the past two weeks should monitor themselves for symptoms and be vigilant. From 12.01am today, the ACT has closed its borders for anyone travelling into the ACT from Victoria, unless you have an exemption to enter. ACT residents are approved to return to their home, subject to entering quarantine for a period of 14 days, from the day after leaving Victoria. ACT residents must notify ACT Health of their intention to enter the ACT. Details on how to this are available on the COVID-19 website. We will be checking compliance in partnership with ACT Policing. Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms should attend one of our testing centres to be tested. This is why we have implemented new Public Health Directions that restrict travel to the ACT from Victoria. It is also a critical reminder that no one should be travelling to Victoria except for absolutely essential reasons, said Dr Coleman. Do not travel to Victoria for any reason other than absolutely essential purposes. Once you return to the ACT, you will be required to quarantine for 14 days. We again ask Canberrans to remember four requirements in any situation they face in the coming weeks: 1. Avoid large crowds 2. Keep 1.5 metres apart whenever possible 3. Continue good hand and respiratory hygiene 4. Stay home if you are unwell and get tested if you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms. The ACT Government also has a helpline to assist Canberrans through the challenges of COVID-19. The COVID-19 Helpline is 02 6207 7244 and open between 8am and 8pm daily. People who are concerned and want further information on the virus, can also call the Australian Government’s Coronavirus Health Information Line on 1800 020 080. The line operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. www.covid19.act.gov.au

04.01.2022 Lifting of border restrictions for short-term visitors from Australia (Victoria State) From 6 November 2020, 0000 hours, Singapore will lift our border rest...rictions for visitors from Victoria State (Australia). This latest initiative follows the earlier lifting of border restrictions for visitors from Australia (excluding Victoria State) on 1 October. From 30 October 2020, 1200 hrs (Singapore time), visitors travelling from Australia (Victoria State) can similarly apply for an Air Travel Pass (ATP) for entry into Singapore on or after 6 November 2020. Applicants must have remained in Australia in the last consecutive 14 days prior to their entry. They will undergo a COVID-19 test upon arrival at the airport and if the result is negative, they will be allowed to go about their activities in Singapore, without a need to serve a Stay-Home Notice (SHN). Prior to travelling to Singapore, visitors from Australia will need to apply for an ATP between 7 and 30 days before their intended date of entry into Singapore. Do note that Australia's border restrictions remain in effect and travellers arriving in Australia must still comply with the prevailing regulations, including serving of quarantine for 14 days. More information regarding the ATP is available at https://safetravel.ica.gov.sg//atp/requirements-and-process

03.01.2022 Because we can’t host our usual National Day reception in Canberra, the Singapore High Commission in Australia has instead specially commissioned a virtual perf...ormance by the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra to celebrate Singapore’s 55th birthday. I’ve caught a preview of Songs From Home, and I love it it’s a beautiful, evocative arrangement by the MSO's Luke Speedy-Hutton, of well-loved Singaporean and Australian melodies, elegantly performed by two wonderful orchestras. Something about the coming together of the SSO and MSO, and the musical piece that’s resulted, captures the Singapore-Australia relationship there’s warmth, empathy, mutual understanding. To my friends in Singapore and Australia see what you can identify in this three-minute piece! Catch the performance tomorrow night, Friday 7 August at 7.30 pm (AEST) or 5:30 pm (SGT) on our microsite https://sites.google.com/view/sg55inau/home . We’d also like to invite friends, via this same link, to leave us a National Day greeting. Special thank-yous to Australian friends and the diplomatic corps who’ve already sent their best wishes Love ya! #NDP2020 See more
