24.01.2022 A wonderful collage (designed by one of our patients) incorporating life at the Western Care Lodge, showing some of the sculptures and wild life that can be found on the grounds. This truly depicts how the lodge feels like home.

12.01.2022 It was so great to see the enthusiastic Cruisin-along team head off on their trek last week. It looks like you're having a great time out there! Travel safely.

12.01.2022 Guests at Western Care lodge enjoyed a pre Christmas afternoon tea yesterday (including rum balls prepared by one of the guests - a strong favourite among the attendees) Music entertained guests - the mood was upbeat and moving, and the food also very much enjoyed. We would like to wish everyone a very safe and happy festive season.

11.01.2022 Spread the word! Gather your friends and family and come along to this fantastic event! The beneficiaries of funds raised will be the Western Care Lodge and the Clinical Trial Program at Orange Hospital. The combination of a sustainable and expanding clinical trial program and the provision of quality accommodation services at Western Care Lodge meaningfully improves the quality of life for cancer patients in Orange and the broader Central West region. Let's show our support to BrothersIVBrothers

09.01.2022 A sneak peak into the beautiful selection of artworks at Western Care Lodge. We on the Board of Cancer Care Western were aware of the research which had shown the therapeutic, healing power of good artwork. So our aim was to make Western Care Lodge as beautiful and comfortable as possible. We considered art works were an important element in the creation of a vibrant, beautiful environment. Artists from the Orange area and many remote places, as far away as Alice Springs, were incredibly generous and donated some outstanding artworks. Here are a sample of some of the beautiful.

We are extremely grateful for all their efforts. https://www.centralwesterndaily.com.au//emus-open-invite-/

01.01.2022 Remembering the legendary Daniel Boots Simpson. Daniel was taken from us tragically 12 months ago today. We were very privileged to have the very capable and charismatic young lad and a handful of his peers volunteer their precious time, in a working bee, in our gardens at the lodge. Thinking of Boots’s family and friends today and always.
