25.01.2022 Hi relayers, would you like to kickstart your fundraising? We have been offered an opportunity to cater a morning tea for approx 150-180 people on August 15th in the ballroom in the festival centre. However we need answers by tomorrow night. Sandwiches, scones etc would be sufficient.

19.01.2022 At Cancer Council SA, we believe that no one should lose a loved one to cancer. Thats why we are committed to finding more ways to reduce the impact of cancer ...as well as improve the quality of life and survival rates for people with cancer. Thanks to the contribution of cancer research, over the last 20 years in Australia we have seen: Cancer mortality rates decline by 18 per cent Cancer survival rates for some common cancers increase by as much as 36 per cent An estimated 61,000 Australian lives saved by improvements in cancer prevention, screening and treatment But there is still so much more to do. With your help, we can bring a cancer free future closer by funding SAs brightest minds through Cancer Council SAs Beat Cancer Project. Find out more about the research and the researchers our supporters are helping to fund at https://qoo.ly/33duau.

15.01.2022 Happy National Volunteers Week!
15.01.2022 Paulas first Relay was in 2013 at Bordertown Relay For Life. However it wasnt until 2017 Paula formed her team CURE (courage, understanding, resilience and en...couragement). Paula got involved in Relay For Life as she had seen many family and friends affected by cancer. But it wasnt until 2007 when her mum was diagnosed with cancer, that it really hit home. Weve seen firsthand the amazing work that Cancer Council SA does to help not only patients but their whole family during the process of diagnosis, treatment & recovery. After being on the receiving end of this vital assistance, I feel we have no choice but to give back to help others for such a worthy cause. Raising funds, particularly for Cancer Council SAs accommodation means so much to Paula and her family. As we live a three hour drive from Adelaide, we dont have immediate access to vital treatment for cancer patients. Cancer Council SA provides vital accommodation support for such families to assist them during such a traumatic time. Not only are Paula and her team, CURE, back for another Relay, but she is now on the organising committee. Help Paula and Bordertown Relay For Life reach their goal of $30,000 and register yourself and your team today! tinyurl.com/Bordertown-2019

12.01.2022 What a fantastic weekend! Over $48000 raised by our wonderful teams new and old. So great to see everyone having fun inspite of the weather. I guess it just makes us appreciate what cancer sufferers endure in their journey. Every dollar is helping to make stays in town for treatment more comfortable and affordable and contributing to research to ensure we have more survivors. Thank you Port Pirie
12.01.2022 As a survivor I have been involved with relay for 17 years. I started by taking part in the survivors walk in 2003 with a very dear friend and fellow survivor who has since passed away, we then took part as team members then I continued on the committee doing various jobs. It is very rewarding being able to give back in return for the medical treatment and support I received 36 years ago. Come along to our meeting on Thursday, 7pm at Port Clubrooms and see what you can do. Marg.
