22.01.2022 With a positive view in mind the Board see this relocation as providing an opportunity for the Cancer Care Centre to retain its current services, but at the same time providing opportunities to expand our services, collaborate with new businesses/ organisations and engage new members. CAN YOU HELP US MOVE? FIND A NEW HOME ... Are you aware of any spaces that would suit our needs to continue to provide the services that we currently provide? ie: office administration; massage; counselling; meeting room and kitchen. If you have connections can you please let us know. FINANCIAL OR IN KIND SUPPORT Any financial contribution or donation will help offset the cost of moving, refurbishing, possible increase in our rent and promoting our new home. If you cannot help us out financially there may other ways that you could assist us ie: packing up; moving; labour for refurbishing talk to us about these and other support that you or your business can provide. Please be reassured that the Cancer Care Centre will prioritise a seamless transition to minimise disruption to your services that you provide to our members throughout this move. Our services will continue as advertised right up to the moving day. We are keener than ever to continue to build and grow our broad range of support services, therapies, activities and begin the next chapter of Cancer Care Centre. 04.01.2022 Progress Report on Cherington: Wednesday 4th November was a working bee/gardening day in between the Seeds for Health workshops, with thanks to those who came along to give a hand. A new area was cleared and prepared under the pergola, and the first wicking bed of this new section was made and planted up. Using this new area of the Garden with the beds under the pergola structure means support for trellising of tomatoes and cucumbers and also being able to fix netting as ...protection from possums feeding on our plants. Good harvests were made and the produce sent off to the Cancer Care Centre The workshop today (2-4pm) is with Lachie McKenzie about Compost - the why, the what and the how. All highlighting the vital importance of compost in the organic garden. All welcome - to help build a new heap of Gardener’s Gold for the Cherington Garden. Complementary ticket for Friends of the Garden. For those of you asking for the link to watch the video of the Cherington Garden Opening and Sophie's talk that Richard Wilson filmed, it is available at the youtube link below. The video runs for 33 minutes and is lovely to watch and listen or even to just listen! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6jbNxOM6uxk&feature=youtu.be
