25.01.2022 We usually rely on one major event each year to keep us financially able to help those suffering Cancer, on the NW with bills and household expenses. COVID 19 restrictions have taken that opportunity away this year so we need to find other ways to continue to raise funds. People need our support more than ever as restrictions have really prevented those with Cancer from getting out and about as easily as they have been able to. Transport hasn't been as available as usual, t...he cost of groceries is a tad higher and household bills are on the rise as people are staying home more. Your help in whatever way you can, would be very welcomed...and appreciated. So if you are interested in helping raise funds by either asking friends and family to make a small donation, or by hosting a gathering and raising funds please let us know. 23.01.2022 WOW WOW WOW! We have said it before and we are going to say it again - what an incredible community we have here on the NW Coast. Our aim was $12,000 and you helped us smash that so THANK YOU again for your support.

19.01.2022 Join us on the 29th August for our GRAND FINALE main event! Since we can’t be there in person at your events, our wonderful volunteer committee will be coming together for an event of our own, if you want to choose the same date as us, you can join in the fun as well! We will be going live on the night to announce games, spot prizes and raise some much-needed funds. 16.01.2022 Sending out a HUGE thank you shout out to this group of amazing ladies who have started our August appeal rolling by having a fantastic night together and managing to raise a whopping $1700!!!! (Yes, we know it’s only July, but these ladies were super organised!) Their theme was frocks & uggs, mixed with a whole lot of fun (and an extremely impressive platter)!... Raising much needed funds doesn’t need to be complicated - and all you need to do is register your event. If you need some inspiration or ideas please feel free to get in touch!

13.01.2022 To all of our wonderful supporters. The committee thought it would be a good time to reassure you during this crazy time; that we are still accepting applications for financial assistance to help North West residents undergoing active cancer treatment. While we still have the funds available from previous fundraising efforts, it is still full steam ahead for our charity in supporting applications coming through. However, we also feel it is important to highlight possible futu...re concerns. We rely 100% on your generosity through fundraising events that often require large crowds. As well as the generosity of many local businesses that are currently taking massive hits financially and emotionally due to Covid19. Obviously, right now fundraising opportunities aren't possible and it's looking likely that this will continue into the foreseeable future. Therefore we are taking things day by day, week by week, and doing what we can while we can. Please stay safe..and stay home. Our well wishes go out to you all.

05.01.2022 Over the past 6 years the Cancer Fighting Fund has worked extremely hard to put together events to raise funds for those in need. It’s always a great feeling knowing we are working together making a difference. We have had the privilege of supporting cancer sufferers right here on the NW Coast to the sum of $188,000. From a volunteer committee of approx. 10 local people, we think it’s an incredible effort, don’t you agree?

01.01.2022 Our mission is to help as many people as we can, both financially whilst undergoing cancer treatment and also by bringing the community together at some fun events. There’s no doubt that Covid19 has put pressure on many people in the community and it’s time to get out and get together to celebrate what’s important. Family and Friendship is worth celebrating, so why not host a gathering (large or small) and ask everyone to donate $10 to our worthy cause.
