19.01.2022 Is it okay if I share what's in my heart right now? ... It's hard out there right now, across Mandurah and the rest of the world. ... We are hurting...emotionally, financially, mentally. We feel lost, uncertain, scared, isolated. Businesses are closing, people are finding themselves unemployed, parents are at homes with their children riddled with anxiety, our grandmothers and grandfathers feel alone. I understand. I feel it too. I also know that deep within me I feel an ignited fight. A burning passion for our community, my fellow neighbours - those I love and those I haven't yet met. This is a silent war that we are all fighting. But if we stand in arms together, do the right things and above all SUPPORT eachother and CONNECT through this, we will stand stronger on the other side. So when you pass someone at the shops or on your daily walk, now more than ever is the time to smile - to say hello - to nod in knowing that we are here for eachother. To give a busker playing sweet melodies on our streets an extra coin. To buy that extra milk carton for someone you've never met at the supermarket, because their limit has been reached. To send a friend flowers if you know they are struggling. You don't know what small difference you can make to others lives at the moment, by just being kind. You could be the difference between them going to bed smiling, or in our harsh reality right now, not making it to bed at all. - Take care, reach out. Much love <3

17.01.2022 If this doesn’t make you feel proud to be from Mandurah then I don’t know what would! An amazing little snippet of our piece of paradise, showcased by Good Chef Bad Chef
15.01.2022 It’s okay to not be okay - this rings true now more than ever. How are you feeling? Really? There is no judgment here...... I’m a little scared, hopeful, grateful...tears shed for the unknown ahead - we are all in this together and in that I feel comfort and a deep knowing that with that comes the most beastly of some and the most loving of others...which will we decide to be? I know what I will choose. And it’s to uhphold our sense of connection, our true raw form. Be kind. Be respectful. Be strong - for yourself and others x
15.01.2022 Just look at how far we have come
14.01.2022 **Good news story** Your driveway might not be the first place you imagine for a family photoshoot, but in the unprecedented outbreak of COVID-19, we all have to think outside the box a little. Mel, local and owner/photographer from Lion Fox & Co is capturing life in lockdown throughout the Peel region and visited us on Sunday at our Falcon home.... Take a read of the article below, and jump onto her insta handle the_drivebyproject to view all of the beautiful images and stories that go with them so far... https://www.mandurahmail.com.au//moments-in-time-mandura/

13.01.2022 Oh Mandurah, how I love you! Especially on days like today - full of connection, coffee, conversation and community...and let’s not forget the Spring sunshine! Myself, our mayor and my fellow councillors came together with the Mandurah matters van to Black Swan Lake, Lakelands to discuss all things Mandurah with local residents.... Can’t wait to do it all again soon. See you there? PS - Big ups to Isle of Lace for their amazing caffeinated hospitality. They are down there every day so head down for a beautiful walk around the lake with your favourite beverage

11.01.2022 -HUGE WIN BELOW- At last week’s Council meeting, myself and other councillors agreed to work with State Government in an effort to bring a 'Common Ground' building to Mandurah, that would provide homes, financial empowerment & on-site support to help our longer-term unemployed & homeless get back on their feet. There is already so much amazing work happening to support these people who have found themselves in an extremely vulnerable point in their lives, and yet a very clear... missing piece is housing. This important conversation piece and strategy plan will hopefully be the building block to help break this cycle in Mandurah.
11.01.2022 What a milestone! Did you know that on the 8th March 2020, it was 100 years since the first woman councillor was elected? And what a great day to celebrate it, on International Women's Day! ... I am so proud of the woman I was, the woman I am and the woman I am yet to become - and proud of all of the woman that have made that possible over past trying times.
11.01.2022 What matters to you, matters to Mandurah - and it sure matters to me! The recent City of Mandurah 'Community Chat - Park series' morning on Sunday at Coodanup Reserve was a sun-filled morning of conversations with local residents, along with coffee from Oui Love Coffee. Come down to the park and talk with Mayor Rhys Williams and us as Councillors about all things Mandurah as we work together to make our city an amazing place to live, work and play. ... PS - Thanks for the selfie Mehrangiz Kalani! ...and for the fab photo of the selfie Daniel Wilkins
