15.01.2022 Lest we forget. In 2012 I was lucky enough to visit Turkey, Anzac Cove was a special place. From the moment we arrived to the moment we departed I felt the difference in the place to any others I had visited. You could understand the ANZAC's shock when arriving at the beach to see the cliffs in front of them that they would be forced to try and scale whilst fighting against brave Turkish troops. You could imagine when after sundown each night and hostilities ceased the men taking the time to have a smoke break and tossing cigarettes between enemy trenches as they were so close. You can imagine the shared heartbreak when one day the boy who had been singing each night sang no more. If you ever have a chance please go and visit Gallipoli, I promise that it is worth it.
