25.01.2022 That’s a wrap! 2020 has been such a roller coaster of a year, a year that has been like no other we’ve experienced. One highlight of the year that still brings a smile to my face is winning the Local Business Awards still pinching myself it even happened! 24.01.2022 Happy Friday guys A FAQ that comes through our messages is do we offer refills? I’ve considered this many times over the years, the reason I unfortunately don’t offer refills is to ensure I am providing you with the highest quality candle. When a candle leaves LLSC HQ I have no way of knowing if that jar has been accidentally dropped or damaged. Yes some damage is clearly visible, but if a small hairline fracture is present I would not be able to tell. Add some heat to you...r jar and it is at risk of exploding, something I would absolutely not want on my conscience. This is also why I don’t offer refills/filling of vessels that are not my own for eg canisters from Kmart or other places. My jars have gone through hours of testing and experimenting on what works and what doesn’t work and are designed to withstand heat (when your candles are kept to the recommended trimmed wick size of 5mm) Unfortunately it isn’t as simple as sticking a wick in a jar, adding wax and viola! If only my job was that easy Our candles can be recycled in so many ways, we highly encourage you repurpose them around your home. Some amazing ideas I’ve seen from my customers is using them to store makeup accessories, growing succulents and plants even storing Q tips and cotton balls. Our jars are easily cleaned with hot soapy water. Hope that answers a few questions, thanks for supporting my little business. Donna

22.01.2022 Did you know there is a proper way to burn our soy candles? Burning your soy candles correctly ensures you get the absolute most out of your soy candles. Here are a few steps to follow... When you first open your candle it is ready to light. Place your candle on a heat resistant surface away from anything that can catch fire for example artificial flowers etc once your candle is lit, allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar. (as shown in the picture) This creates a ...memory for your candle. If you light your candle for 10 minutes and extinguish the flame your candle will tunnel and burn straight down the middle, hence wrecking your candle. Never leave your candle burning for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time. Our glassware is proper glassware made for candles but any glass will break under intense heat. Please use your discretion, if your glass feels very hot and it hasn’t been 3/4 hours extinguish the flame. Safety comes first. Before every burn, when your wick has cooled down it MUST be trimmed to 5mm. You can do this either with a wick trimmer or by carefully pulling off the excess wick with a tissue. Following these few important steps will ensure you get the most out of your soy candle LLSC is proud to provide you with candles made of the highest quality wax, fragrance oils, wicks and glassware. If you’re after a specific scent for yourself or as a gift I highly recommend you order early. We have now started our busiest time of the year and I can’t guarantee we will have all our scents available. I only have 1 x large 1 Million type candle left and only a handful of Vanilla scented candles after these are gone these scents will not be available. Please get in... touch if you’d like to order. 07.01.2022 Hi guys There’s been a lot of thought going on behind the scenes here at LLSC. Due to Covid, as you all know prices on just about everything has increased some things more significantly than others. Because our suppliers acquire their raw materials from overseas it has not only affected supply but has in turn meant our suppliers have had to increase our prices. This has unfortunately concerned me. I’ve always prided myself and my small business in providing you all with a ...high quality product but also being affordable. These price increases have been a little overwhelming for me as it has meant I’ve had to really think of the future of Love.Light.Soy and what path I am going to take. It’s been 8 amazing years that I’ve built up this little business, with many many hours of hard work, testing and getting high on candle fumes . I’ve decided to push through and keep on doing what I love doing. To make this little business viable for me to continue on I’ve had to reconsider my current pricing. From today our candles will have a slight price increase. Our large candles will now be $23 and our XL candles will now be $27 that’s an increase of $3 per candle. All our other products will remain the same unless circumstances change. I apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. I’ve kept my prices as low as possible over the years. I hope to be able to supply you with your favourite candles and home fragrance products you’ve grown to love over the years. Thank you for your continued support of my little candle making journey.
