25.01.2022 I can go on about it all day, if you want to get the most out of your job and deliver the best results, you can’t rely on second grade tools. These Festool sanders are fantastic, have so much grunt and absolutely no problem at holding my body weight at all while delivering a super smooth finish

24.01.2022 This old tired Merbau deck was desperately needing a little love Sanded back and rejuvenated back to it’s beautiful natural look without the peeling yellow coating . I always use a penetrating oil that leaves no residual coating that will be prone to peeling or flaking. Anytime an area like this is completely exposed, I recommend a min of 3 thin coats per year to maintain the richness and provide a good amount of oil in the timber.

17.01.2022 When you get standed grade flooring, then the best thing I can suggest is highlighting its character by filling all the feature knots and gum veins with black

15.01.2022 Another Black Butt floor and staircase finished with invisible and anti slip on the stair treads. Again the features were filled with black to highlight it not blend it in.

15.01.2022 A spotted gum floor in need of a little attention and a little invisible It came up so well and with a few reclaimed treads thrown into the build, it really tied it all together. Finished with invisible protect and an anti slip on the treads.

15.01.2022 A simple but beautiful Tasmanian Oak floor completely sanded and finished in a water base satin. I love Tas oak flooring as it’s nearly always got a really good variation of colours and natural knots and goes well with all my finishes.

12.01.2022 Jarrah verandah and Merbau decking completely re sanded and clear oil applied

08.01.2022 A grey and tired looking Merbau deck that was needing some attention. Completely re sanded and finished in a clear penetrating oil to reveal its rich colours. Lucky this decking had 99% of its screws down far enough to sand. So if you’re putting a deck down with screws, just make sure they are countersunk to a good depth.

03.01.2022 Parquetry is always challenging as you generally have blocks running in different direction. Of course being a Brushbox Timber it’s even more challenging, but with time and a good eye the end results can be fantastic. The flooring was repaired in several spots and then re sanded and finished in a beautiful water base Satin.

02.01.2022 This very old , yellow, tied looking Sydney Blue Gum was in desperate need of some tlc from the Candy Man . You migh also notice in the last picture a few milky foot prints aka ghost prints which sometimes show up unexpectedly on certain floors. This floor was finished again in the awesome Loba Satin Duo and it looks fantastic
