22.01.2022 Proserpine Production Figures - Week 18 (Week ending Saturday 31st October, 2020) Proserpine Mill processed more than 77,000 tonnes of cane for the week, bringing the season to date figure to 1.4 million tonnes, or 90 per cent of the total crop.... There was an extended stop on Thursday to reinstate the site’s second bagasse reclaimer chain. The last day of harvesting for the 2020 season is expected to be Thursday 12 November. This is based on a revised final crop of 1.56 million tonnes, forecast factory throughputs and no further rain disruptions. The dry weather continues to adversely impact the final crop total, which is currently cutting at 97.8% of original estimate. Weekly CCS improved slightly, to average 15.45 units. The highest CCS sample was 18.10 from a rake of fifth ratoon Q240 in the Up River Productivity District. Remember to use your ‘train brain’ around the cane rail network. Approach all level crossings with caution and always give way to cane trains.



20.01.2022 ** GIVEAWAY ** Canegrowers Proserpine has office chairs that are no longer required. The chairs mostly have fixed legs, but there are a few swivel chairs. Interested members are able to take as many or as few as you'd like, but we do need them re-homed quite urgently.

16.01.2022 REMINDER: SunWater is holding 2 workshops this Thursday 19th November, to demonstrate their new water ordering systems. During these workshops, SunWater will also assist attendees with registering and familiarising themselves with the online and automated phone ordering systems. SunWater is offering 2 sessions on Thursday: 9am-11am and 12pm-2pm, with both being held at Canegrowers Proserpine. 15.01.2022 Proserpine production figures - Week 15 (Week ending Saturday 10th October, 2020) Proserpine Mill processed close to 88,500 tonnes of cane for the week a good weekly throughput given there was a scheduled maintenance stop on Wednesday.... Harvesting conditions continue to be favourable and the crop is cutting at about 99% to estimate. Weekly CCS rose strongly to 15.23, breaking the 15 unit level for the first time this season. The highest CCS sample was 17.82 from a rake of fourth ratoon Q183 in the Lethebrook Productivity District. We urge the travelling public to ‘use your train brain’ and always give way to cane trains.

08.01.2022 Proserpine Mill processed just over 81,000 tonnes of cane for the week, bringing the season to date figure to 1.49 million tonnes, or 95 per cent of the total crop. There was an extended stop on Friday to repair a bagasse reclaimer chain. Widespread rain disrupted harvesting on Sunday, but there was no impact to crushing operations. The last day of harvesting for the 2020 season is expected to be this Thursday, 12 November. This is based on an estimated final crop of 1.56 mil...lion tonnes, forecast factory throughputs and no further rain disruptions. Weekly CCS improved slightly again, to average 15.54 units. The highest CCS sample was 17.78 from a rake of fourth ratoon Q208 in the Gregory Productivity District. As we approach the end of the 2020 season, motorists are reminded to use their ‘train brain’ around the cane rail network. Approach all level crossings with caution and always give way to cane trains.



06.01.2022 Proserpine production figures - Week 20 (Week ending Saturday 14th November, 2020) Proserpine Mill processed just over 50,000 tonnes of cane for the last week of the season, bringing the total season throughput to 1.54 million tonnes.... Harvesting ceased for the 2020 season on Thursday 12 November and all cane was crushed by just after 2:30am on Friday 13 November. Weekly CCS dropped to average 14.63 units, bringing the preliminary season CCS to 14.35 units. The highest CCS sample was 16.84 from a rake of fifth ratoon Q208 in the Strathdickie Productivity District. Wilmar Proserpine thanks all growers and harvest contractors for their hard work and cooperation during the 2020 season, as well as Proserpine Mill employees for their safe operations during the year. Please remember to continue using your ‘train brain’. Although the crushing season is over, maintenance crews will continue to operate around the cane rail network.

04.01.2022 Proserpine production figures - week 12 (Week ending Saturday 19th September, 2020) Proserpine Mill processed close to 91,000 tonnes of cane for the week a good throughput given there were some unscheduled stops for necessary repairs. Scattered showers persisted again, but there was no impact on harvesting operations.... CCS climbed steadily to an average of 14.65 units for the week. The highest CCS sample was 17.21 from a rake of first ratoon Q240 in the Gunyarra Productivity District. On Wednesday this week, there will be an eight-hour scheduled mill stop to allow for mill roller arcing and pressure cleaning of a boiler induced draft fan. With school holidays under way, parents & carers are asked to remind children about the dangers of playing on or around our cane rail network. The travelling public is urged to ‘Use your train brain’ by always giving way to cane trains and staying well clear of the cane railway network.

The one million tonnes crushed milestone was reached on Monday evening.... Harvesting conditions remain favourable and the crop is averaging just above 99% of original estimate, season to date. Average weekly CCS jumped back up, reaching the highest level for the season at 14.99 units. The highest CCS sample was 17.61 from a rake of fourth ratoon Q183 in the Lethebrook Productivity District. Thanks to parents, carers and their children for an incident-free school holiday period. However, please remember that the dangers of playing on or near the cane rail network remain while the season continues. Harvesting conditions remain favourable and the crop is cutting at just below 99% to estimate. Weekly CCS jumped again by more than 0.25 of a unit to 15.52. The highest CCS sample was 18.04 from a rake of first ratoon Q208 in the Elaroo Productivity District. Remember to use your ‘train brain’ around the cane rail network. Approach all level crossings with caution and always give way to cane trains.
