14.01.2022 Congratulations to this awesome little group of puppies who graduated their class last Saturday. Remember the road to greatness means we keep walking, and we keep learning. Training has started, but I like to think building a relationship with your dog has no end. It’s not a project that begins at one point.... and stops at another. Not that we are complaining, because this is one of our favourite jobs in the world. We offer two sessions at the Cairns Showgrounds. Monday evenings, 6.15-7.15pm OR Saturday mornings, 8-9am. We covering basic obedience commands combined with behavioural and socialising exercises. Owner education is the key to what we do, it’s about training people, how to train dogs. If you have a puppy we would love to talk to you. Early education and training, is the backbone for years of enjoyable and rewarding dog ownership. Watching all of you with your dogs, training so beautifully under many different situations, you have made me so proud. ... All of this made even MORE SPECIAL, because we had a visit from the wonderful Liz Jackman, and Simone Fleming. Two inspirational women who are on the frontline of this organisation. They came to welcome new members, to encourage our established team, and to help us push forward into the unknown with mock ~ Public Access Tests. My girls and their dogs kicked some serious goals at Cairns Central today! Time for me to continue learning, time for my crew to be encouraged to keep training,and time to talk with like minded people, who have unwavering commitment to the ongoing support of their recipients. 01.01.2022 So many precious puppies walk into our classes. It’s impossible to comprehend how lucky we are, to be able to spend our days with this little canines. I laugh when I tell owners the most important part about training their puppies, is being able to get them to sit and smile, with a hat on for graduation... ... BUT it’s actually about a lot more than that! It’s about guiding owners, it’s about the correct exposure with other puppies and people. It’s about 27 years of skills and learning, knowledge I can pass on that empowers people. Education that means they have the knowledge to go forth, and create the most awesome partnership with their puppies.
